God of Love,

As I prepare to celebrate the birth of your son, Jesus, open my heart to the needs of others. Help

me to respond with love and compassion to the cries of my sisters and brothers around the world

who go without clean drinking water every day.

We pray for our sisters and brothers around the world who do not have enough clean water to drink; For those who walk for miles to fetch water each day. May we have a change of heart to lift up and support the poor, ensuring everyone has access to the water they need. Amen

Christmas Eve

Jesus answered and said to her,

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but

whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I

shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to

eternal life.”

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I may not

be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”
