Job Growth In an urbanized

area there are more jobs available for a rapidly growing area such as our town.

If more buildings and housing is developed, then we can support our growing population.

Compact DevelopmentWith the right

planning, our city will become healthier and more livable with parks and easy commuting.

We can eliminate highways and parking lots, and fill them with bike paths and light rails.

Recycle More A planned and

organized city offers our residents the opportunity to recycle more with convenient garbage cans for paper and plastics. The city will offer weekly pick-ups as well as community locations for appliance recycling.

Breath In Cleaner Air With more parks in our

city, less cars and more recycling options, we will have healthier air to breath.

We hope there will be fewer cars on the roads. Also, the new hybrid cars on the roads will greatly reduce the air pollution.

Is There a Downside?There will be new

industrial jobs that become available while our agriculture jobs will diminish.

If we don’t stay on top of this needed balance, we could face more pollution, unemployment, and poverty.

Is There A Limit?There should be a

definite plan in place to protect our natural resources by limiting building needs.

Our parks and wildlife need to be protected and preserved during this transition.

What About Urban Run Off? When it rains, the storm

sewage systems collect the water, and along with that is the organic wastes such as garbage, animal droppings and heavy metals. Urban Run Off cleans the water in the sewage treatment plants before being discharged to main waterways.

Will All Of Our Needs Be Met? When a city expands,

we must make sure that schools, hospitals and adequate transportation systems are put in place.

Without this in place, we could face poverty, crime and epidemic.

Change Is For The BetterThere will be some

downsides to city’s growth. However, with proper planning in place, we can live in a healthy, desired urban lifestyle. We as a community must take an active role in our new city.
