The overall package does now include the possibility of 12 months pay protection for the
majority of employees that are losing from April 2013, and the introduction of the Living
Wage (currently 7.45 per hour) as the bottom of the new pay model Grade 1 (SCP 10).
However this new package is dependant on a ballot of UNISON members and acceptance
of the overall package including the reductions or abolition to other part 3 (Green Book)
conditions including overtime rates and weekend enhancements etc. UNISON will keep
you informed of developments.
