What happens when we have bad weather? When we have bad weather, the Superintendent can choose any of a number of options including: 1. Closing schools; 2. Delaying the start of a school day; or 3. Dismissing schools early. If we have bad weather overnight, the Superintendent and her staff eval- uate weather and road conditions prior to 5:30 a.m. By 6:00 a.m., local radio and TV stations will have information about whether Warren Township Schools are closed or delayed. How do parents/students learn about Closings or Delays? SCHOOLS CLOSED OR DELAYED

Metropolitan School District of Warren Township

The Superintendent and Board of Education of the MSD of Warren Township expect to conduct school each and every day. However, to ensure the safety of students and staff, it may be necessary to close or delay schools due to dangerous weather and/or road conditions.

Que pasa cuando tenemos malas condiciones de clima? Cuando tenemos mal tiempo el Superintendente tiene diferentes opcio-nes: 1) cerrar las escuelas; 2) atrasar el horario de entrada a la escuela; o 3) cerrar las escuelas mas temprano debido a las condi-ciones del clima. Si tenemos mal tiempo por la noche, el Superin-tendente y su personal evaluaran las condiciones del tiempo an-tes de las 5:30 a.m. A las 6:00 de la mañana las estaciones de radio local y los canales de televisión tendrán la información del clima e informaran si las escuelas del Distrito Escolar de Warren serán cerradas o se retrasara el inicio del horario escolar.

COMO SE ENTERARAN LOS PADRES/ESTUDIANTES DEL CIERRE O

RETRASO EN LAS CLASES. Como sabemos que el clima puede cambiar sin importar la hora del día, padres y tutores deben estar alertados de la posibilidad de retraso en el horario de clases y cierre de escuelas. Las siguientes estaciones del radio y televisión serán contactadas, y mencio-naran si el Distrito Escolar de Warren no tendrá clases o si las clases iniciaran mas tarde.

Por favor, escuche cuidadosamente, verifique que sea el DISTRITO ESCOLAR DE WARREN TOWNSHIP “MSD WARREN TOWNSHIP”, porque muchas veces estas estaciones informan de las situaciones del tiempo en el CONDADO DE WARREN, el cual es un lugar completamente diferente a nuestra área de escuelas.

CUANDO LA ESCUELA TIENE QUE CERRAR O COMENZAR MAS TARDE DEBIDO A MAL CLIMA?

DISTRITO ESCOLAR DE WARREN TOWNSHIP

El Superintendente y Consejo Educativo de el Distrito Escolar de Warren Township esperan diri-gir cada escuela cada día de la mejor manera. Por lo tanto, para asegurar la seguridad de los estu-diantes y del personal de la escuela, será necesario cerrar o retrasar el inicio de clases debido al clima y/o las con-diciones de las carreteras. Ciclo Escolar 201-2011

SI LA ESCUELA CIERRA ANTES DE COMENZAR EL HORARIO ESCOLAR las estaciones de radio y televisión anunciaran el cierre de escuelas por la mañana comenzando a las 6:00 a.m. Los padres deben hacer planes de quien y como cuida-ran a sus hijos con anticipación, es decir, antes de que se presente una situación como esta.

Cuales son las responsabilidades de los padres cuando la escuela cierra o comienza mas tarde el horario escolar? Si hay un atraso y las escuelas comienzan 2 horas mas tarde de lo normal, y su

hijo (a) aborda el autobús para ir a la escuela por lo regular a las 7:45 a.m. Este atraso significara que su hijo (a) será recogido por el autobús a las 9:45 a.m. (2 horas mas tarde). La hora de salida será la misma, siempre y cuando no haya algún cambio con el clima por la tarde. Cada padre será responsable de hacer cualquier clase de arreglo o supervisión con sus hijos en caso de mal tiempo. Tenga en cuenta que, como los maestros y demás personal de la escuela están en la misma situación con el clima, por favor, no traiga a su hijo( a) a la escuela antes del horario indicado en la televisión y/o radio, pues no habrá nadie que le habrá la puerta de la escuela a su hijo (a).

Si las escuelas se ven forzadas a cerrar antes de finalizar el hora-rio escolar.

El Distrito Escolar notificara a las estaciones de radio y televisión lo antes posible. Se anunciara el cierre temprano de las escuelas. Se enviaran los estudiantes a sus casas. Los padres deben estar alerta y PLANEAR CON ANTICIPACION lo que harán en caso de que se tenga que cerrar las escuelas mas temprano.

Que pasa con El Centro de Educación Temprana (Early Child Center) cuando hay retraso o cierre de escuelas? Los estudiantes que actualmente asisten a Preescolar podrán venir a las instalaciones de esta escuela de la forma acostumbrada. Si el Centro se ve obligado a abrir mas tarde, los servicios serán ofrecidos solamente para

los niños inscritos en el programa Before-School Child (cuidado de niños antes de clases). Los niños tienen que trae su almuerzo de

casa. Habrá un cobro adicional por niño (a), por situación de cierre de escuelas temprano o por día completo. El horario es de

6:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m.

Planee con anticipación antes de que haya retra-sos o cierre de escuelas debido al clima. Por

favor, llame a la escuela de su hijo (a) si usted tiene alguna pregunta.

El Distrito Escolar de Warren planea 180 días de clases por ciclo escolar, ya que así lo dicta la Ley de Indiana. Por lo tanto, si las escuelas se ven

Este año escolar, notificaremos a los padres y guardianes del cierre de escuelas o retraso en las clases vía telefónica. Si la escuela es cerrada o tiene retraso en el horario escolar, se enviara un mensaje a todas las casas por teléfono. El mensaje será enviado a las 5:45 de la mañana. Si usted tie-ne mas de un numero telefónico registrado en el sistema escolar, el mensaje será enviado a todos los números que están listados en nuestro sistema.
