see motorists or for motorists to see them.

Because their peripheral vision is about one-third narrower than an adult’s, children can’t see a motorist approaching from the right or left as

soon as an adult can.

Children also have difficulty judging a vehicle’s speed and distance, and they often think that if they can see the driver, the driver sees them.

False: They may be more common during the school year but you can expect to see one any time of year, and you should expect it to stop and pick up or drop off kids.

Answer: In most states you are not required to stop if the bus is in the opposite lanes and there’s a median or barrier.
