What are Reach Assessments?

• Annual progression assessments which provide an external, objective measure of learner progress

• Designed for full-cohort progress year-on-year• Targeting a wide range of student ability. Even most

able students will find some questions challenging.• Comprehensive set of assessments, for primary and

secondary students: Digital Technologies, Science, Mathematics, English, Spelling & Writing.

What are Reach Assessments?

• A powerful diagnostic tool for future school planning• The assessments are based on the curricula for the

relevant year• Supports implementation of Australian and

international curricula• Questions range from recall and routine application,

through to more demanding higher order questions.

• Low-stress, learner focused assessment• Choice of online and paper delivery modes• Comprehensive online reporting – available 4-6

weeks post testing• Option for students/parents to access the

results/certificates directly online.

UNSW Global Assessment Platform: RolesSchool staff member Suggested role in

School Coordinator Imports and manages student data, invites staff and assigns roles, assigns classes to teachers, enrols students, completes all Teacher tasks

Classroom teacher, Grade Coordinator or teacher across classes within a Year level

Teacher Prints student logins, administers tests, view results

Teacher of multiple classes across multiple year levels

Unrestricted Teacher Completes all Teacher tasks; assigned to allclasses automatically
