Brisbane Boys’ College

Established in 1902. Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC) is a day school for boys from Prep to Year 12 in Toowong with boarders from Years 7 to 12.

Paul Brown has more than 20 years experience in leading independent schools across the country. An educator of high calibre and demonstrated achievement, he brings to the College outstanding achievements in the academic arena.

As a passionate educator who regards the provision of quality education to all young Australians as a national priority, Paul leads with a clear sense of purpose and vision. Clayfield College Established in 1931, Clayfield College is co-educational from Pre-Prep to Year 6, girls only from Years 7 to 12 and a girls’ boarding school from Years 5 to 12.

Dr Andrew Cousins, Principal PhD, BMus, BSc, PGradDipEd, AMusA, GAICD

Andrew Cousins has an outstanding reputation as an educator and leader. He is passionate about inspiring a love of lifelong learning in young people, igniting their natural curiosity, and developing them to be bold, imaginative and reflective.

The education of the whole child and providing students with the opportunity to discover their talents formed the basis of his PhD in education. Andrew has published papers from his PhD in the Cambridge Journal of Education and the International Journal of Science Education.

In addition to his teaching career, Andrew has also served on the Board of Governors at Cromwell College at the University of Queensland.

Somerville House Established in 1899, Somerville House is a day school for girls from Prep to Year 12, a boarding school for girls from Years 6 to 12, with a co-educational Pre-Prep.

Mrs Kim Kiepe, Principal MEd (Leadership & Management), BEd, DipT, MACEL, GAICD

Kim Kiepe has more than 35 years of teaching and leadership experience in both girls and co-educational school settings and has a strong background in girls’ education within Christian schools. Kim has a great passion for leading staff in supporting the aspirations of all students, by maintaining a philosophy of encouraging girls to strive for personal excellence and develop into happy, confident and connected young women.

Her personal belief is based on a commitment to intellectual endeavour, staff development and student well-being. Throughout her teaching life, Kim has been influenced by Aristotle’s thinking – ‘Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.’

Sunshine Coast Grammar School Sunshine Coast Grammar School was established in 1997 and was purchased by the PMSA in 2004. Grammar is a co-educational day school at Forest Glen for Prep to Year 12.

Mrs Maria Woods, Principal MEd, BEd, DipT, Cert Residential Care, MAICD, MACEL, MACE, AIMM Maria Woods is an experienced educator having worked in both the independent and state sectors for more than 25 years. She has a special interest in student leader development, community and culture development as well as performance improvement through team building.

Maria is a firm believer of being actively involved within the local community and as such serves on a number of committees. In 2014, Maria was named Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year and Sunshine Coast’s Most Outstanding Business Person of the Year. Maria considers it a great joy and privilege to work with young people and is most passionate about quality teaching and learning and Grammar's vision for learning — ‘Where passion meets purpose’.

PMSA The Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) is a leading Christian educational institution and owns four outstanding Queensland independent schools – Brisbane Boys’ College, Clayfield College, Somerville House and Sunshine Coast Grammar School.

Sharon Callister, PMSA Chief Executive Officer BHealth Admin, MBA, GAICD

Sharon Callister has more than 15 years experience managing large multi-million dollar diverse organisations in Australia and overseas. She has outstanding credentials in finance and operational management and culture development. She also serves as a non-executive director for a not-for-profit organisation.

Sharon is driven by her values of humility, compassion, accountability and trust. She cares deeply about education and is passionate about the Christian not-for-profit sector.

Morgan Parker, PMSA Chair elect effective 20/03/2020 LLB, GAICD

Morgan Parker is a successful international investment executive and recognised philanthropist and has extensive experience serving on many boards in commercial, not-for-profit and industry organisations.

Morgan is a full-time non-executive director and currently serves on five boards. Professionally, Morgan has spent the last 25 years working as a senior executive in large, complex institutions such as Morgan Stanley, Macquarie Bank and Lendlease.

Morgan’s association with PMSA schools spans more than three decades. He attended Brisbane Boys’ College where he was school captain, his sister attended Somerville House and his daughter is a current student.
