Master Teacher of Cosmetology

Laurel’s 600-hour Master Teacher of Cosmetology program prepares our students for positions as cosmetology instructors. Students in this program will have the opportunity to work with current cosmetology students under the supervision of an instructor and will have student teaching experience in several different classes!

Laurel’s 200-hour Nail Technical program provides our students with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of nail esthetics, which includes massage, manicure, pedicure, artificial nails, and artistry along with instruction in traditional and contemporary techniques for nail enhancing and properly applying nail extensions.

Nail Technician

Laurel’s 600-hour Esthetics / Nail program gives our students comprehensive instruction in the understanding of skin care and makeup, along with a comprehensive knowledge of manicuring, pedicuring, nail design, and artistry. This 8-month program is a combination of lecture, demonstration, practical experience, and professional business-building skills which are vital for success in the growing field of skin care and nail care.

The School of Spa and Cosmetology Arts can help you turn that creativity into a career. Our comprehensive cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technician curriculum is designed to cover it all!

And if you have a passion for wellness and healing, consider our Massage Therapy Diploma! Our innovative program is devoted to the art and science of contemporary bodywork and massage.

Graduates of our PA Comestology* programs are prepared to take the licensure exam through the PA State Board of Cosmetology in order to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (you may apply for licesning in other states if you meet their hour requirements).

Graduates of our WV Comestology* programs are prepared to take the licensure exam through the WV State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists in order to practice in the state of West Virginia (you may apply for licesning in other states if you meet their hour requirements).

* Massage Therapy is not included in our Cosmetology programs licensure disclosure. They are preprared to take the MBLEX in their state of study (you may apply for licensing in other states if you meet their hour requirements).

Laurel’s 355-hour Esthetic’s program gives our students an understanding in the study of anatomy, physiology and histology, infection control, and ingredient and product knowledge. Students will learn services such as specialized facials with facial massage, galvanic and high frequency treatments, professional makeup, and hair removal.

This program model is offered at the following location: Meadville (PA), Morgantown (WV), and Uniontown (PA).

Laurel’s 750-hour Massage Therapy program gives our stu-dents instruction in a wide variety of styles and modalities including hot stone, deep tissue, Swedish and more. Students will have the opportunity for supervised practice in the school’s massage clinic!

Massage Therapy

Laurel’s 1,350-hour Cosmetology program prepares our stu-dents for exciting and creative positions in a salon or spa. Our students learn the basic fundamentals and the related sub-jects of hair, skin, nail care, and color cosmetic applications that are necessary for a well-rounded education. Our licensed instructional staff teaches both theoretical and practical appli-cations. Our students will have the opportunity for supervised practice in the school’s full-service cosmetology clinic!

Laurel’s 1,835-hour Cosmetology program in West Virginia prepares our students for exciting and creative positions in a salon or spa. Students learn basic fundamentals in the related subjects of hair, skin, nail care, and color cosmetic applications that are necessary for a well-rounded education.

Our 405-hour Nail Technician program in West Virginia provides knowledge of all aspects of nail esthetics, which includes massage, manicure, pedicure, artificial nails, and artistry along with instruction in traditional and contemporary techniques for nail enhancing and nail extensions.
