Ms.HarwoodtrainedatTheNationalBalletSchoolgraduatingin1964.ShejoinedtheNationalBalletofCanadain1965andwasaprincipaldancerfrom1970until1987.ShewasbestknownforherperformancesasleadingballerinainSwanLake,Coppelia,RomeoandJuliet,Cinderella,Nutcracker,DonQuixote,LaFilleMalGardée,SleepingBeauty,Giselle,DyingSwan,Solitaire,andEliteSyncopations.Shehashadmanyillustriousdancepartners,includingRudolfNureyev,AlexanderGodunov,PatrickBissell,FrankAugustyn,StephenJeffries,andGaryNorman.Shecoachedbronzemedal1988WorldandOlympicIceDanceChampions,TracyWilsonandRobertMcCall.MsHarwoodwasArtisticDirectorofBallettoClassiccofrom1989to1993.ShewashonouredasanOfficeroftheOrderofCanadain1984.In2002shewasawardedtheQueenElizabethJubileeMedal,andreceivedtheQueen'sDiamondJubileeMedalin2012.ShehasalsophotographeddanceandhashadherworkpublishedintheInternationalDanceMagazine,theTorontoStar,NowMagazine,andforprogramsfortheMovingPicturesFestival.

MARGARITAMARÍARIGÓbeganherflamencocareerinGranada,Spainatthe‘CarmendelasCuevas’flamencoschool.UponreturningtoTorontosheenrolledattheAcademyofSpanishDanceandhasbeentraininginflamencoandclassicalSpanishdanceeversince.HerprofessionalflamencocareerbegandancingwiththeEsmeraldaEnriqueSpanishDanceCompany.Shewaspartofthe2006‘DuskDances’summertourandhasperformedwithflamencodancecompanyAzucar,CanelayClavobasedinMedellin,Columbia.ShehasalsoperformedwithTorontobasedtheatregroupsCrisalidaandNuevoTeatro.WearedelightedtohaveMargaritaMariaonceagainasanhonouredguestteacherforoursummerprogram.
