ABOUT THE SYSTEM

.

•  The system name is School Management System.

•  This system was proposed and designed to overcome the manual work. The

system is of School Management System, so in this system there is no chance of

create paperwork.

•  The system is made completely automated and all the work is done computerized. In this system there are more features than existing system.

•  In this system we have add the work which are not done manually also so this is

one of the best advantages of this system.

•  They have generate the fee receipt so, the work is half done as they work

manually.

•  Now with the help of this system they have found the information about all

student of any class.

•  Now with the help of this system administrator can easily find the staff

information. All requirements for the school are available in this project.

•  Now with the help of this project administrator can easily find the all expenses for

the academic year.

Detail Description of The System

EXISTING SYSTEM

Manual:

A School has no used any type of system. They are work manual in the school.

As mentioned above we have provided solutions to lots of manual works carried out.

Here record keeping and information keeping was done manually by Administrator.

Only administrator with unlimited information which led to miscommunication and

misinterpretation leading to either duplicity of data or leading to misinformation.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

Manual:

Manual system was lethargic and containing errors and loopholes which were

missed out by management leading to administrative complications. The reports andinformation were not promptly available for management decision, thus system was

planned, design with tracking of each and every critical data in all document, forms

etc and providing spontaneous report generation for better management decision

making.

Advantages of Proposed System

Administrator can easily fill data in the form and keeping the record of studentadmission, student information, school expenses, staff information, easily generate fee

receipt, easily make the result. Administrator can easily fetch the data from the record.

The work flow is so well defined easy to understand by user and helps in

generate report at mere click which helps in managerial and administrative decision

making.

Limitation of Proposed System

Till the system does not go in the school we cannot predict future

E.g.

•  Only Administrator and Teachers are login entry and working the system.

We have take precautions validations and tested used the application and work

on in desktop which is working successfully till now.

Feasibility study

A feasibility study is undertaken to determine the possibility or probability of

either improving the existing system or developing a completely new system. It helps

to obtain an overview of the problem and to get rough assessment of whether feasible

solution exists. This is essential to avoid committing large resources to a project and

then repent on it later.

Need for feasibility study

•  Answer the question whether any system is to be installed or not.

•  Determine the potential of the existing system.•  To improve the existing system.

•  Know what should be embedded in the new system.

•  Define the problem and objective involved in a project.

•  Avoid costly repair at a later stage when the system is implemented.

•  Avoid crash implemented of a new system.

•  Avoid the ‘Hardware approach i.e. getting a computer first and then deciding

how to use it.

There are three types of feasibility study.

(1) Technical feasibility

:

•  Adequacy of available technology.

•  Adequacy of Hardware.

•  Available of computer.

•  Operating time and support facilities, etc.

Technical feasibility determines whether the technology needed for theproposed to system is available and how it can be integrated within the “MRM

System”, “Training Management System” & “PME-Project Planning and Estimation”

and Technical Estimation must also assess whether the existing system can be

upgraded to use the new technology and whether the “MRM System”, “Training

Management System” & “PME-Project Planning and Estimation” have the expertise

to use it. The technical feasibility in the proposed system deals with the technology

used in the system. It deals with the hardware and software used in the system

whether they are of latest technology or not. It happens that after a system is prepared

a new technology arises and the user wants the system based on that technology. Thus

it is important to check the system to be feasible.

Page 9: School Managment

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/school-managment 9/22

(2) Economic feasibility:

Economic feasibility looks at the financial aspects of the project. Economic

feasibility concerns with the returns from the Expenses Form. It determines whether itis worthwhile to invest money in the proposed system. It is not worthwhile spending a

lot of money on a project for no returns. The advocate plans to acquire the necessary

hardware and software require for the system and there is no hindrance whether

economical or otherwise towards its purchase. A brief description of hardware and

software required in the system is given later in the report.

(3) Operational feasibility of the project

:

Operational feasibility covers two aspects one is the technical performance aspect

and other is the acceptance within the “test Engine”& Project Monitoring and control

system. Operational feasibility determines how the proposed system will fit in the

current operational.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

Scopes of Proposed System

School Management System is based on data fed by Administrator for variousdatabase, record keeping and report generating.

This keeps track of all linked data with do duplicity and reductioning human

error. The work flow is so well defined easy to understand by user and helps in

generate report at mere click which helps in managerial and administrative decision

making

Limitation of Proposed System

FUTURE EXPANSION

Future needs is always arise in every system, because at the time of analysis,

we study existing system and thinking of proposing system which should contain all

the features which make system user friendly but during whole SDLC phase many

changes may arise in the system which should be develop for the better use of end-

user and thus those new features, new needs are define as future enhancements.

School Management System so many changes can be done in the system, and future

works are always welcome in case of School Management System.

User can edit an Attendance form or make a form of record keeping of sports

item for the Academic Year.

User can change in result form and make proper use of Result Form.
