For27years,IvoJanvanderWerffhasbeenamemberoftheMEDICISTRINGQUARTET,playinginnearly2000concertsworldwideandrecordingmorethan40cd’sincludinganacclaimedsetofthecompletequartetsofBeethovenaswellasviolaworksofArnoldBaxandMaxReger.
For10yearshewasaprofessorofviolaandchambermusicattheRoyalCollegeofMusicLondon,andin2007joinedthefacultyasprofessorofviolaattheShepherdSchoolofMusic,RiceUniversity,Houston.

THECOURSE
Thecourseisdesignedforundergraduateviolastudentsaged18andover,graduatestudentsoryoungprofessionalswhomaybeworkingtowardsauditions,recitalsorjustwanta‘refresher’.
Therewillbeaminimumof34privatelessons,participationintwomasterclassesandtheopportunitytoplayinoneoftwopublicconcerts.
Therewillbeatechnicalworkshopeachdayprimarilycenteredonideasandexercisesfrommybook‘ANotebookforViolaPlayers’.
