Year End Reminders
What we need you to do…….
Fix a deadline for all orders to be placed by
Review all outstanding purchase orders and cancel any that are
no longer relevant
Chase and process any outstanding invoices
Do final cheque run on 29th March – DO NOT do any after this
date!
Enter all income up to and including 29th March
Post any petty cash transactions up to and including 31st
March
Reconcile payroll report and process payroll journal
Reconcile bank statements up to 31st March
Check list of outstanding invoices from LA and request copies of
any not received
Keep a copy of all invoices for services that cross two
financial years
Make a list of services that will need to be accrued for
Year End 2018-2019

Send you regular Year End Reminder emails
Create your new financial year
Create your Year End journals for accruals, prepayments and
revenue to capital expenditure
Process your final VAT return
Review and make any necessary adjustments to your CFR
Once you are happy that all transactions have been processed we
will perform your preliminary close down

Timetable budget planning meeting
Review any staffing adjustments that may be required
Ensure correct NI and Pension rates are included
Review any pay increments or awards
Review all SLA’s and contracts
Review previous 2018-2019 income and expenditure
Identify any future projects
Additional DFC grant
Check pupils numbers, increase or decrease
Check funding statements for the LA/ESFA are correct
Review income streams (lettings, school meals, clubs etc)
