Dear Doctor,
Asthma is a heterogenous disease encompassing several distinct clinical phenotypes & endotypes.
Although current treatments are usually effective for most patients, there is a small subset who remains unresponsive to current medications. These patients experience frequent debilitating symptoms and limitations, often leading to severe exacerbations and represent a very important segment of the asthma population.
Over the past years, considerable progress has been made towards evaluating these severe asthmatics with specific diagnostic tests to determine the characteristic phenotype and explore customized therapeutic options that range from biologicals to interventional procedures like Bronchial Thermoplasty.
We take great pleasure in inviting you to our unique hands-on workshop on Severe Asthma, facilitated by eminent faculties from AIIMS, Chest Research Foundation and the European Respiratory Society. The workshop will help in having a real-time experience on aspects of patient identification, evaluation and protocol based approach of managing severe asthma in clinical practice with case guided learnings.
