School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good Morning girls and boys. Are you keeping up with the home learning? Are you keeping everything tidy? You need to know that this is a difficult time for grown-ups, so it’s really important that you are good for them and that you help around the house. It’s also important to give other people in the house some space... sometimes they will just want some time alone and that’s important for them. Mums and Dads need to be left alone without you bothering them from time to time. It’s important for you too, so do make sure that you get some quiet time. Luckily the weather is going to be dry for the next few days, so it will be easier to have quiet time on your own. Do you remember my assembly when I said not to ever worry about anything? You didn’t all agree with me, but you explained your points of view very politely which is what we expect. However, when I had the second assembly, I said that worrying is no use... but doing something about it is useful. Well I never thought about COVID19 then, but I think that my assembly message really also applies to COVID19. There’s no point worrying about it, but there is a lot of point in doing something about it. The important thing to do now is to stay in your own household unless you have absolutely no other choice. The other important thing to do is wash your hands thoroughly. One final thought for you... Mr Green. Thursday 26 th March. Message for parents, carers and grandparents from Simon Green, Head teacher. New message: We are exploring ways to catch and keep a record of learning during this period. The purpose would be to celebrate your work at home that supports your child’s learning. I’d be really grateful if you could take some photos of your child learning and perhaps give us a very brief caption to accompany the photo. We haven’t yet worked out how we will do this, but it’d be great if you could take some great photos for us all. If you are registered as a key worker (critical to the fight against COVID19) with us and have absolutely no possible other way to look after your children next week then please text (sms) us on 07706126239. Message for children from Mr Green.

Good Morning girls and boys.

Are you keeping up with the home learning?

Are you keeping everything tidy?

You need to know that this is a difficult time for grown-ups, so it’s really important that you are good for them and

that you help around the house. It’s also important to give other people in the house some space... sometimes they

will just want some time alone and that’s important for them. Mums and Dads need to be left alone without you

bothering them from time to time. It’s important for you too, so do make sure that you get some quiet time. Luckily

the weather is going to be dry for the next few days, so it will be easier to have quiet time on your own.

Do you remember my assembly when I said not to ever worry about anything? You didn’t all agree with me, but you

explained your points of view very politely which is what we expect. However, when I had the second assembly, I said

that worrying is no use... but doing something about it is useful. Well I never thought about COVID19 then, but I

think that my assembly message really also applies to COVID19. There’s no point worrying about it, but there is a lot

of point in doing something about it. The important thing to do now is to stay in your own household unless you have

absolutely no other choice. The other important thing to do is wash your hands thoroughly.

One final thought for you...

Mr Green. Thursday 26th March.

Daily message from the Office team.

Remember that the safest place for your child is at home and school-based child-care should only be used if

absolutely necessary and there is no adult in the household who can look after children at home. Worker in Key

industry should work from home if in any way possible.

The School Closure Newsletter (that's this document, the daily update) will be posted on our website and circulated

by email with a target time of 08:00 and no later than 09:30 each day. A Facebook message will notify you when it's

been posted, and we will add a link to our Website. All other communications will be kept to a minimum as the

internet is currently struggling to cope with a 30% increase in traffic. We will only use Facebook to push urgent

messages and we will strive to put everything in the once-a-day School Closure Newsletter.

Just to let you know that the school office will not be open this morning (Thursday), so we can't take any phone calls.

If there's anything urgent, you can still email us on [email protected] and we'll get back to you.

Thursday 26th March 2020 - Daily message from Nursery… to continue learning at home we suggest

Message for the week - In Nursery we tend to have weekly intentions and activities provided promote these

intentions and further learning throughout the week. As a result, learning intentions will stay the same for the week

but I will add ideas for activities each day. A lot of the learning intentions in nursery can be covered during

mealtimes, on walks with the family or just during general play. There does not always need to be a specific task set

up for that learning intention to be enhanced. Also remember that some activities will last a week and promote

many different learning intentions and opportunities.

Weekly leaning intentions which are based on the needs of the children:

• Sharing/ turn taking

• Concentration/ attention and listening skills (staying on task and listening to a story for example for a short

period of time)

• Speech – increasing vocabulary and enhancing pronunciation

• Scissor skills

• Fine motor control

• Mark making – providing opportunities to mark make

Added Understanding the World focus

• Comments and asks questions about aspects of their familiar world such as the place where they live or the

natural world

• Can talk about some of the things they have observed such as plants, animals, natural and found objects.

Since Science Week we have been exploring habitats and the animals that might live in those environments. So far,

we have looked at the rainforest, African Plains and the arctic. This week's theme is the ocean.

Morning Everyone. Here are a few ideas for some activities today.

Daily Finger Gym Exercise (fine motor control)

Open Shut them rhyme – the children know this rhyme. Here is a link to help you

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STQ6U8n3MWY - the words are slightly different

Page 4: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Daily Physical Activity (gross motor control linked with expressive Art and design and Understanding of the World)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p06tmn51/andys-wild-workouts-series-1-1-under-the-sea

Andy’s Wild Workout – Under the Sea – have a go at moving like some sea creatures. -Keep active!

Continuous provision

• Continue with shallow water tray with sea animals (animals that they have in the bath maybe if none are

available) - water play promotes vocabulary and discussion - if you were able to set this up on Monday

• Use the diorama made on Tuesday to fuel some small world play

Daily Activities

• Use some shaving foam/ flour/ cornflour paste, etc for mark making – put in a tray and let the children

experiment with marks on a large and small scale

− Create big swooping waves

− Small circular pebbles

− Spikey star fish

− Water whooshing out of a whale’s blow hole

• Pose a ‘Would you rather...?’ question.

Eg. Would you rather be a whale or a dolphin? - encourage your child to answer in full sentences and

reason why they have made their decision

• Make a cardboard octopus – use whatever materials you have (will link in with Andy’s Wild Workout this

morning) This is a great chance to be creative - go wild and make a huge one. Mrs Smith never does anything

by halves!

• Sing and dance along with CBeebies Magic Door – Under the Sea

episodehttps://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/magic-door-under-the-sea. It is great fun and a brilliant

creative outlet. Be warned – it’s a very catchy tune!

Hope you all managed to make a rainbow for your window yesterday. If not make that one of your activities

today. I’m trying to get all my household to make one so have a go!

Thought this would make all the nursery children giggle. Started my morning off with two slices of toast on my

plate. Turned around to get a nice cup of tea. Plate empty! - Winnie! Wilma! - what naughty whippets

Mrs Smith (missing all her nursery tots) and Winnie and Wilma (with their full toasty tummies)

Daily message from Reception… to continue learning at home we suggest:

Thursday 26.3.2020

Good morning Reception. We hope you are ready to do some more learning today.

Phonics: (google phonics play to access free games and activities – we recommend you access phase 2 and 3

activities. To access put in (user name) march20 (password) home

• Play flashcards or time challenge to practise saying the phase 2 and 3 sounds.

• We are learning a new sound: oi and how to read and write it. (oi as in coin)

• Practise writing oi in the air or on a table top with your finger.

• Write oi on a small square piece of paper. Also have the same size paper and write letters: l b c n j f s.

Make a phoneme frame that looks like this: (just use a strip of paper and section it into 3)

• Place oi in the middle box. Lay the other letters above the frame. Say these words to your child and ask them to

make them, using the correct letters. boil coin coil join foil soil. When they have made the word, point to each

box as you say the word and sound it out. Then read the whole word. For example – b-oi-l =boil,

c-oi-n = coin, etc.

• Write out some questions for your child to read and decide whether the answer is a yes (thumbs up) or a no

(thumbs down) Sometimes, in class we decide that an answer could be both!

Can you surf on a coin? Can soil be red? Will an owl join a cow in town? Can you boil a coin?

• NOTE: Some of the children will not quite be at this level of phonics yet. Therefore, they will need to keep

using the phase 2 sounds to segment and blend to keep this reading practise up. The phase 2 sounds are on

the website and can be referred to for making your own sound cards. You may still have the ones we printed

off and sent home. Phonics play have lots of phase 2 games to practise these sounds. All children should still

play robot games to practise blending and segmenting.

• For example, pretend you are a robot and say the sounds r-e-d. What am I trying to say? Your child should

be able to hear the sounds and say red. Then repeat the game but say a whole word and ask your child to

say the sounds he/ she can hear. For example, say the whole word sat. Ask your child to say the sounds in a

robot voice. They should say s-a-t. This is really good practise for all the children as it also helps them when

they are sounding words out to write.

Some ideas for words: red sit sat tap map mop pit rat pin bin got pat tin tan pan

You can also use words with ai ee igh oa oo in the middle as children will just need to hear them and say them:

r-ai-n rain, f-ee-t feet, l-igh- t light, c-oa-t coat, m-oo-n moon

Literacy/Topic:

Speaking and listening: Look at the pictures below and ask your child to tell you what they notice.

Page 7: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

• After they have responded, delve a bit deeper and ask them if they think it is better to use a helmet when

cycling and scooting and why/why not?

• Encourage children to understand that a well-fitting helmet can keep them safer but they should always be

very careful even when they have a helmet on.

• Talk about the need to listen to their grown-ups always when out and about on a bike or scooter.

• Spend some time talking to your child about ways to keep themselves and others safe.

• Some ideas might include: To be aware of others in the park and to be considerate by riding at a sensible

speed. To keep on the inside of a pavement away from the road in case they wobble and fall. To always be

aware of cars pulling out of driveways if they are cycling or scooting on a pavement. To always cycle slowly

past other people’s houses if they are on the pavement as they might knock anyone coming out of their

front door. If they do cycle on a pavement remind them that they should stop to let pedestrians pass first.

Writing: Ask your child to make a Safe Riding poster. This might simply say WEAR A HELMET (your child’s spellings

might look more like “rid a hemit” or RIDE WITH CARE (Rid with ker). Others may simply use initial sounds in the

words – please accept all efforts with praise. They can draw a picture such as a helmet or a child on a scooter/bike.

Remember to use the phonics sound mats to assist.

Let’s get active! Whether out in a quiet area or travelling around obstacles in the garden such as plastic planters -

encourage your child to ride (bouncy hoppers, bike, scooter, toy car or a pretend horse - trotting with knees up)

outside getting that wonderful thing called “fresh air”. Be sure to follow their poster rules if out and about in the

garden!

PSED: Ask your child to tell you about something they are good at. Perhaps you can tell them something you are

good at too!

Maths:

• Use the following link to play counting, matching and ordering games.

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/gingerbread-man-game

or your child could draw 10 gingerbread men, cut them out and draw 1-10 buttons on each. The number of buttons

could then be matched with the correct number. You could muddle them up and ask your child to order them.

Page 8: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

• Practise sorting coins and coin recognition. Make labels 1p – 10p (just go to 5p if your child is struggling)

Using some coins, place the amounts next to the price label. You can use just 1p coins to do this or a mixture

of 1p and 2ps. For an extra challenge, add 5p and 10p (if you are working to 10p)

• Extra challenge: Try this game. Can you click on the correct amount that is in the piggy bank?

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/money/coins-game

Let’s get active!

Get their hearts beating really fast with this 5 minutes of madness (we do this in class with the play leaders and the

children love it). Run on the spot……..do spotty dogs (jumps flinging forward opposite arms to legs)…..do star

jumps……….REPEAT! Remember to keep going for the WHOLE 5 minutes and be sure to have a countdown form 10-0

at the end. Good luck grown-ups…it’s a killer!

Physical Development – Give your child clothes with buttons or zips and encourage them to have a go at doing them

up then undoing these fastenings – first without wearing and then when they are in the item of clothing!

Happy learning Reception. Keep up the good work

From Miss Loughnane and Miss Atherton

Daily message from Year 1… to continue learning at home we suggest:

Thursday 26th March

It’s Thursday!! Well done for all your hard work so far this week. I hope you’re all still staying safe and remembering

to stay away from other families (I know this is a really hard thing to do but think of all the wonderful family time you

can have!) We’re nearly at the weekend and the Easter holidays, keep going – you can do it!

Exercise and wellbeing

Tune in at 9:00 for Joe Wicks’ PE lesson – I will be online at this time too exercising so we can pretend we’re all doing

it together in the school hall!

English

Practise yesterday’s Year 1 Common Exception words again. Today can you try writing them in a different way to

help you to remember them (for example, on the computer, in the garden using sticks, using paint or chalk if you

have it. Water and brushes is another way to write on the ground or walls outside)

Maths

After feedback that some parents had trouble getting onto Twinkl I’ve inserted today’s maths challenge card. Please

have a go at this one.

Extra challenge – can you write the linked subtraction facts?

Science

We have been learning about everyday materials. Go on a materials hunt around your house. Can you find things

made from wood, glass, plastic, rock/stone, metal and fabric.

Page 10: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Extra challenge – which of these words can you use to describe the materials you have found on your hunt? Soft,

hard, rough, smooth, rigid, flexible, dull, shiny, opaque, transparent.

Love Mrs Kedward, Mrs Williams and Miss Parker

Page 11: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Thursday’s daily message from Year 2… to continue learning at home we suggest

Murphy update: he now expects treats whenever he comes back inside. He has been coming and going constantly

and driving us bonkers!

Start the day with some reading and discuss what you have read together.

Phonics/ handwriting: Revise the words that you chose yesterday. Chant the spellings of those words out

loud to help you to remember them.

Today you are going to make a mind map and include all the words that you might need to spell when writing about

the sea.

Your spellings will link to our English lesson today.

Once your child has finished you can look at the words together and check whether there are any mistakes and

discuss how to fix them.

English: Watch this video (to remind the children about the use of appropriate punctuation) and then get going!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks1--ks2-using-punctuation-in-the-right-place/zrbhf4j

Now, we know there are some strange looking creatures that live in the ocean and there’s not really any sea-

monsters but… today I would like you to write a descriptive piece about a sea monster! In one of his diary entries,

Columbus claimed to have seen a monster. This is what he wrote…

"Holding on their course, the ship's people sighted a large fish, big as a whale, with a carapace like a

turtle's, a head the size of a barrel protruding from the water, a long tail like that of a tunny fish, and two

large wings.”

Can you draw your own sea-monster and describe it in your English book. Use adjectives to make your monster

sound scary and think about these questions before you start:

-What sea creatures could you mix together to create a sea-monster?

-What size will your monster be? As big as a ship or sneaky and small?

-What will your monster sound like?

-How will it move? With a shark’s tail, octopus’ legs, crab feet, wings?

Page 12: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Maths: Spend your maths session today learning the 3 times table. Some children will be able to do this already

(they should try and reach higher numbers) but many will have to work hard to count on 3 each time to say the

correct number.

Here’s the Super Movers song: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/first-three-times-table/zkfn7nb

Continue this list in your book:

3 x 1 = 3

3 x 2 = 6

3 x 3 =

When you think your child has mastered it, they can have a go on this game https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-

games/hit-the-button to practise further.

Design and Technology: This will be a 2-part lesson and will be continued tomorrow.

Today you are going to design and make a boat that Christopher Columbus (or one of your toys) can sail

across the ocean (or a tray of water) in!

Hunt around your house for some junk modelling items that you could use to build a boat with. Remember

our science lessons – Which materials are waterproof and will float and which will absorb water and sink to

the bottom of the sea?

Once you have collected everything that you need you can draw your design and label the key parts.

-Include what each part is made of and what they are meant to be!

Here’s mine…

Page 13: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Get making!

(Tomorrow you will be evaluating how successful it is so if you test yours today you could film it or take a

photo to look back on!)

Physical movement:

Make an obstacle course in your garden. Include stations where you have to do the following:

-Star jumps

-A floss dance

-Running on the spot

-The Macarena dance

If that’s tricky then have a go at Pop See Marshmallow Party Rock!

Thursday Daily message from Year 3… to continue learning at home we suggest

Good morning Year 3, I can’t believe we are already on Thursday. I hope you are managing to get your work done. If you haven’t already worked out the riddle, it was a chick in an egg! Handwriting – practise writing the following words with clear ascenders and descenders. Remember to put each word into a sentence and try to include a conjunction, adjective and adverb. young, touch, double, trouble, country English – We have been looking at alliteration, facts, opinions, repetition, comparatives and fronted adverbs this week. Now try and put these together in a persuasive piece of writing to encourage tourists to holiday at this amazing swamp. Remember to be creative with your wording – instead of saying there is a lot of water, say there are plenty of swimming opportunities! Aim for at least one paragraph, two if you know I would expect you to. Have fun.

Guided Reading – read the text below and answer the questions in full sentences in your book. I can’t believe I am actually here. The towns below look so small and I can see for miles in every direction. In front, the whirr of the engines is constant while a man is eating crisps in the aisle right beside me. Mum warned me not to worry about

butterflies in my tummy before we left but now, I am loving it. 1. Who is speaking? 2. Where are they and how do you know? 3. How were they feeling before they left? Fluency – Practise doubling your numbers using this worksheet. Remember to double the ones and then the tens. Maths – Puzzle Day

Page 15: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Art – Do you remember what we did in arts week? Did you enjoy using dried lentils and rice to make a picture? Perhaps your favourite activity was using old bottle tops to create a wave? Maybe you preferred junk modelling with plastic bottles and cardboard boxes? This week you might want to have a go at making your own 3D piece of art. You could sketch out some ideas on a blank piece of paper in your writing book and then perfect your art work over the Easter holidays. There are several ideas online that you could research, I have copied a few below to get you thinking.

Daily activity – Can you throw a ball against an outside wall and catch it 50 times without dropping it? Who can do the most in your family? Make it more difficult by using your weaker arm or by throwing it under your leg first.

Page 16: School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26 March 2020 … · 2020-06-29 · School Closure Newsletter. Day 4: Thursday 26th March 2020 Message for children from Mr Green. Good

Daily message from Year 4… to continue learning at home we suggest

Thursday 26th March

Year 4, I made a cake! All on my own! Here are today’s tasks.

English

Today I would like you to visit Pobble 365 http://www.pobble365.com/ (You have 5 minutes to choose a picture!)

Now, create a see, smell, hear and feel grid (see picture below for an example - I am trying to figure out how to

move the images I add to the page, so please bear with me!).

Now, brainstorm lots of:

adjectives – descriptive words (e.g. big, brown)

verbs – a word to describe an action, state or occurrence (e.g. jumping, the monster likes roller coasters, or the

caterpillar became a butterfly. More guidance here - https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zrqqtfr/articles/zpxhdxs

adverbs – describes the verb (e.g. quickly, gracefully)

Guided Reading

Read a book of your choice to someone for 20 minutes. Then discuss what happened in the pages read, any

unknown vocabulary, how characters may be feeling and what you predict may happen next.

Maths

I would like you to look at the different methods for division. We can use mental methods or the ‘part part whole

method’ (see the picture above for an example).

For the following questions work out which method would be best to answer them. (Show your workings)

1. 64 ÷ 4 =

2. 87 ÷ 3 =

3. 108 ÷ 4 =

4. 162 ÷ 6 =

5. 95 ÷ 5 =

6. 147 ÷ 7 =

7. 63 ÷ 3 =

Challenge:

Mia buys 74 pizzas slices. She shares them with 4 friends. How many whole slices do they get each? What is the

remainder?

Computing

Spend 30 minutes on Rapid router (https://www.codeforlife.education/rapidrouter/ - you should all have a login. If

you do not, just go in as normal and keep a record of the level you reach.) I would like you to start on level 29 – ‘No

need for numbers.’ (Take this opportunity to teach another member of your family and show them how to create

the algorithm (instructions) and how to debug it)

PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)

Talk to an adult about what goals you have (What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you want to be

good at? Is there anything you would like to achieve by the end of this year?) Then talk about what you need to do in

order to get there. E.g. I want to be able to cook, so I will need to make sure I practise and that I am resilient

especially when things go wrong.

Work well! Miss Davies

Grammar

Revise co-ordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions.

Write 5 sentences in your books about your chosen countries using co-ordinating conjunctions and 5 sentences using

subordinating conjunctions. Remember, if the subordinate clause comes before the main clause then a comma

separates the subordinate and main clauses.

English / Geography

Watch this video to learn about latitude and longitude. You may want to watch it twice as there is lots of important

information. Take the quiz below the video. Can you get 5/5 correct? By now, you have chosen your two countries

for your knowledge organisers. Which would you rather live in and why? Can you refer to the information from

your research? (E.g. climate / landmarks / food / culture.) Discuss with your family members and ask them for their

opinions too. Today, make a start at writing up your knowledge organisers. Remember, it needs to be easy to read

and informative. Take your time and remember to use the present tense and clear, factual language. We will be

writing these up today and tomorrow so you may wish to focus on one each day. You can choose whether to do a

draft version first or whether to write on your knowledge organisers straight away.

Reading

Listen to Elevenses with David Walliams. He is reading a story every day for 30 days for free. Discuss the story

afterwards. Make sure you are reading your own book every day too and discuss what you have read.

Maths

Today we will revise multiplication. Start with practising your times tables on Hit the Button or Maths Chase.

Solve these calculations mentally: Example: 5 x 3000 (5 x 3 = 15 then 15 x 1000 = 15000)

6 x 4000 = 7 x 6000 = 2000 x 8 = 9000 x 3 = 12 x 5000 =

Use the grid method to solve these calculations: 5 x 146 = 3 x 287 = 9 x 452 =

Use the formal method to multiply these numbers: 53 x 22 = 72 x 34 = 61 x 25 =

Art

Decide on an animal from each of the countries in your Geography project. Go to this website, locate the animal and

use the guidance / instructions to help you draw each animal. Think about the animal’s features. I know lots of you

will enjoy this. If so, why not choose some more animals to sketch? Like Mr Green said, you could become an

expert in something – and that something could be drawing a moose!

AND / OR

In our recent lessons, lots of you LOVED learning about how to use perspective. Here are some links if you’d like to

show your family and do extra practice at home! Perspective in drawing and painting One-point perspective

cityscape. Can you create a Hobbit themed picture in the style of Becky Bettesworth?

Have fun and keep moving! Mrs Sanders

Writing

https://www.literacyshed.com/butterflies.html

Watch the clip through and record how the clip made you feel. Watch the clip again and think about how the music

adds to the meaning. Finally watch the clip and think about how colour adds to the meaning. Think about what the

butterfly would see if the butterfly flew into the room you are sat in now. Write a paragraph titled – What the

butterfly saw.

Maths

Complete the fourth revision test in the CPG booklet. The tests are a really good way of revising everything

that we have learned this year. If you are stuck or unsure, you could use your revision books or https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/subjects/z826n39

Problem of the day. Day 18 Click on this link and download. https://whiterosemaths.com/resources/classroom-resources/problems/ Now have a go at this Enrich Investigation:

Science (Thursday/ Friday) From Mrs E.K

The topic over the next few weeks will be forces so this week we are starting with gravity.

Some useful clips to get you started are: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zf66fg8/articles/zqbm3k7

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwY6p-r_hyU. With the second clip, stop the clip and have a go at the

investigations. Did your results show the same conclusion as on the clip. Try drawing a diagram of your investigation

using arrows to show the direction of pull, changing the size of the arrow for the greater force.

The Space Capsule Problem

Use a yoghurt pot for a capsule – a plastic bag for a parachute – connect with cotton, tape &

paper clip. Can you make it land safely? Put some astronauts in the capsule!

Geography: Continue to complete your knowledge organisers. Have you included populations? Rivers? Mountain

ranges? Information about the capital cities?
