The Singapore Lexile® Map
Benchmarked against PSLE and GCE ‘O’ Level EnglishThe Lexile® Framework for Reading is based on more than 20 years of research and provides scientifically based measures for matching readers with texts of appropriate difficulty. Lexile® measures are currently the most widely adopted reading measures used by more than 150 publishers. The Singapore Lexile® Map is created by measuring texts from the STELLAR program, PSLE English papers and GCE ‘O’ Level English papers, and synthesizing these measures to create a continuum of reading performance. Using The Singapore Lexile® Map, teachers are able to match students with books at the appropriate reading levels and help students develop reading proficiency.
