Child of Divorce ScholarshipThe Child of Divorce Scholarship is ONLY open to:

Sometimes, regrettably, one parent (or a third party) attempts to influence a child against the other parent. While most cases don’t result in long-term disruption of the parent-child bond, in some cases the child will become alienated from a parent with whom they previously enjoyed a close relationship. This circumstance was officially recognized in 2013 as a diagnosable disorder by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), published by the American Psychiatric Association.

h The Child of Divorce Scholarship has no restrictions as to residency, college choice, GPA, financial need, etc.

Required additional materials: Essay (maximum 500 words) describing how PAS has affected you. Examples of topics that could be addressed include: When did you first realize you had been influenced? How were you influenced in subtle ways that you did not detect at the time? What do you wish you/the parent who influenced you/the parent you were influenced against had done differently? If you could go back in time and talk to your younger self, what would you tell yourself? (These are just sample ideas.)
