Engineering and Technology) accredited engineering degree or NAAB (National
Architectural Accreditation Board) architecture degree, to apply for a Lt. Col. G. Roger
Sunada $1,800 college scholarship. Award of three scholarships is anticipated. Just fill out

Criteria: Utah resident, minimum 3.0 GPA, if it is lower you still qualify, but you must

JAN 31 UNION PLUS SCHOLARSHIP
This is a competitive scholarship, and applicants are evaluated according to academic
ability, social awareness, financial need and appreciation of labor. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is
recommended. Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus
program, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations).
Grandchildren are not eligible unless a legal dependent (as defined by IRS regulations). At
least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or
parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one year membership minimum must be satisfied
by May 31, 2014. Amounts range from $500 to $4,000. These one-time cash awards are

The scholarships will recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership and sportsmanship
attributes of high school student-athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in

Eligible students are first-generation college students and/or those with demonstrated

Eligible students are those with demonstrated financial need. Whenever possible, students

students qualify for the award on that basis, the scholarship may be awarded to other
students who cultural background of life experiences demonstrate an affiliation with or an
understanding of a diverse background, and who will contribute to an educationally diverse

FEB 14 AT&T SCHOLARSHIP
The AT&T Foundation has announced the continuation of their scholarship program with
UNCF to provide scholarships to African American students, who are dependents of
current regular full-time active employees of AT&T, Inc. and its U.S. Subsidiaries.
Applicants must be a high school senior (planning to enroll in and ultimately enroll-in) or an
undergraduate student attending any U.S. accredited two or four-year college or
university. The candidates must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a

FEB 15 DAR AMERICAN INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP
The American Indians Committee of the DAR awards this scholarship to Native Americans
and is intended to help Native American students of any age, any tribe and in any state
striving to get an education. All awards are judged based on financial need and academic
achievement. Applicants must be Native Americans (proof of American Indian blood is
required by letter or proof papers) in financial need and have a grade point average of
3.25 or higher. There will be no exceptions. This is a one-time $1,000 award.

Honors Graduation Scholarship

Requirements: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors already accepted to a
college or university, or currently enrolled full- or part-time at an accredited college or
university in the U.S. with a year or more remaining in their education. Additionally,

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Scholarship Program
Deadline: April 16, 2014
Requirements: Be a full-time enrolled student in an accredited community college, four-
year university, or graduate/professional program during the period for which scholarship
is requested. Individuals seeking scholarship consideration under the "Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrival" (DACA) policy must possess an Employment Authorization Document (I-
766) at the time of application. There is no GPA or academic major requirement. Students

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Foundation

Requirements: Open to Latino/a high school graduating seniors, undergraduate students,
and graduate students who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a
career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Eligibility requirements differ
for each scholarship; however, scholarships require a minimum High School and
Undergraduate 2.75 GPA (Graduate 3.00 GPA Dissertation 3.50 GPA) both at the time of
application and throughout the scholarship period, and students must be registered full
time (12 hrs undergraduate / 9 hrs graduate) in a science, technology, engineering, or math
discipline.
