The intelligent Traffic Management System isdesigned for single- as well as multi-deck elevators.The key features of the system are cutting-edgetraffic performance, reduced time to destination,greater architectural flexibility, and optimized usablebuilding space. It can also provide individualizationof passengers and their needs, multi-level accesscontrol, as well as visitor control and guidance –all reconfigurable by the customer at any time.
Glass pillars and keypads are conveniently locatedin the lobbies and on each floor. To call an elevator,press the buttons for your desired floor. The screendisplays a letter that indicates your elevator.

The intelligent waySchindler 7000 Traffic Management System knowsnot only that the maximum comfortable car load is6 persons, but also that floors 4 and 5 have thehighest density of calls in up-peak traffic.
Schindler 7000 Traffic Management System directsthe 6 passengers traveling to each of the two busyfloors to individually assigned cars, and optimallydistributes the others.
As a result, the system ensures that all of thepassengers experience a fast one- or two-stop ride,no one suffers overcrowding, and time todestination is shorter.
The traditional wayIn this simplified example of a classic up-peaksituation, over a period of a few seconds 24 peoplecall elevators to travel from the lobby to variousdifferent floors.
With the conventional control, the first 10 peoplecram themselves into the first available car. The next8 fill up the second, and the few remaining occupythe other cars.
This random behavior by passengers means thatevery car makes multiple stops, so journey timesare lengthened. And most passengers sufferovercrowding.

Traffic Management System with an identificationmedium provides you with individualization ofpassengers and their needs, integrated access control,as well as high performance and convenience for alltypes of elevators including multi-deck elevators.
Access controlWith Schindler 7000 Traffic Management System,the building is divided into zones with clearlydefined access restrictions. The building managerconfigures the access zones on site using thesystems software on a central control station.The access restrictions are defined by individualrights, authorizations, and requirements.
IndividualizationThe terminals allow configuration of individualneeds. These may include a passenger’s spacerequirements in relation to freight or goods such asshopping carts, beds in hospitals, or service wagonsin hotels. Touchless solutions are also available onrequest.
Individualized accessPassengers are identified by their identificationmedium or PIN code at a Schindler 7000 pillar ortouch-screen terminal in front of the elevator orsomewhere else close to it. Traffic ManagementSystem checks the passenger’s access rights andassigns a car (A, B, C, …) to the passenger.The passenger walks to the assigned car and istransported to their desired destination without anyneed for further interaction. Visitor control terminalswith interactive touch screen can also be installedas an option.

Passengers enter their desired destination on a pillar, touch screen orterminal and see on the screen which elevator will take them to theirdestination the fastest. There can also be an integrated card reader,and the terminal can be additionally fitted with locks or a voice box.
