A.A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level.

B.A (Hons) degree in Computer Science major part in software engineering from a recognized institution.

OR

Equivalent qualifications to A and B above acceptable to the Board.

C.Candidates should reckon at least two years post-qualification experience in database administration, including multi-user RDBMS and Oracle Financial/E-Business Suite systems.

D.Candidates should also:

(i) have working knowledge on

a)email systems and website/intranet development.

b)multi-user operating systems especially Windows 2003 and IBM AIX

(ii) have a good track record for problem solving and a sound diagnostic ability; be able to implement database security policies including system backups, monitor trends in capacity requirements and troubleshoot database problems; and

(iii) have experience in user training.

NOTE:Qualification at A above should have been obtained prior to qualification at B above. However, candidates who, as at 30 June 2003, did not possess the qualification at A above will also be considered provided they hold:-

1.To design, build, maintain and test essential software;

2.To code, debug, test and document routine application programs;

3.To assist users with procedural or technical problems;

(a)A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or Passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level.

(b)A degree in Instructional Design or Educational Technology from a recognised institution.

OR

Equivalent qualifications to A and B above acceptable to the Board.

(c)Candidates should also:

(i) reckon at least two years post qualification experience in education/teaching practice;

(ii)be computer literate;

(iii)be able to read and interpret technical and other documents related to the educational field; and

(iv)possess good communication skills.

NOTE: Qualification at A above should have been obtained prior to qualification at B above. However, candidates who, as at 30 June 2003, did not possess the qualification at A above will also be considered provided they hold:

(a)a Cambridge School Certificate or Passes obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level either (i) in five subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any two subjects or (ii) in six subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any one subject or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board; and
