There’s a moral to Legally Blonde

AP Art Visits New York CityDuring January semester break, Ms. Struck and Mr. Huntington took the AP Art students to New York City. They visited “Matisse: In Search of True Painting” and “Faking It: Manipulated Photography Before Photoshop” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, “Martegna to Matisse” at the Frick Collection, “Inventing Abstraction” at MOMA, and got to see the Butterflies & Dinosaurs exhibit at the Natural History Museum. They also took in The Mystery of Edwin Drood on Broadway. Exhibit Catalogs are available in Kaiser.

The Winter Drama Company presents Legally Blonde on Friday, Febru-ary 15 and Saturday, February 16. Many potential audience members might be thinking, “There’s a lot of pink in that show,” or “everyone just acts dumb the whole time.” Although there is definitely a good deal of pink in the show, the characters do have dimension and there’s a legitimate moral to the musical. We invite you to challenge your pre-conceptions about the show. If you’ve never seen it, it’s definitely worth checking out. Both evening’s performances begin at 7:30 PM.

Original Works byWinter Dance Co.

One short week after the musical, the Winter Dance Company takes the stage to present A Concert of Original Works. With a blend of company pieces, small groups, solos, student-choreographed works, and faculty-choreographed works, these performances will definitely showcase the many talents of our dancers. Friday and Saturday, February 22 and 23 the curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s show begins at 2:00 p.m.
