Welcome - we’re delighted to bring you news of our 2013 programme. SIV recently started operating Scarborough Spa and we are thrilled to be beside the seaside! We aim to continually enhance the programme and your experience at The Spa and welcome feedback and suggestions from our customers – please feel free to contact me on the email address below.

Winter/Spring highlights include comedy from well-known funnymen Chris Addison, Paul Tonkinson and Al Murray plus music from Toploader and Jools Holland. We successfully launched the Last Laugh Comedy Roadshow in November and can’t wait for the next nights. Please join us – it was a great giggle!

At the moment we are busy looking at our extended summer season for 2013 starting with Jools Holland in May and running through to the world renowned September Jazz Festival. We will have all the usual favourites - our family summer shows, Scarborough Spa’s own Orchestra plus a number of other new shows to enjoy!

We look forward to seeing you and hope to see continued support for Scarborough Spa.

The Walk to the Paradise Garden is a sumptuously orchestrated entr’acte Delius wrote for his most successful opera A Village Romeo and Juliet – the Shakespearian original of which inspired Tchaikovsky to compose his brooding and dramatic Fantasy Overture. Samuel Barber’s ravishingly romantic Violin Concerto, is a work both lyrical and stunningly virtuosic. The Hallé’s outstanding former Assistant Conductor Andrew Gourlay rounds off events with his reading of Shostakovich’s fascinating Sixth Symphony. It begins with an extraordinary slow movement and progresses through a scherzo to a triumphant (and wonderfully unruly) conclusion.
