Complete Services Centre for Equipment Maintenance and RepairsEstablished in December 2005, Scana Offshore Technology shares its premises at Jørpeland near Stavanger with Scana Steel Stavanger.
The organisation primarily carries out the maintenance and repair, as well as manufacture of equipment for the oil and gas industries with the majority of its direct business coming from oil companies, equipment manufacturers and drilling contractors. The company has over 5000 square metres of office and workshop space at is disposal. Over 1800 square metres is dedicated to the machine and welding workshops that are able to handle up to 25 tonnes of equipment.
The organisation is proud of its credentials as a complete service centre that caters for clients with demand for modifications, maintenance, re-certification and repair of equipment for both surface and subsea drilling and production units.
With welding, machining, mechanical, hydraulics, sandblasting, heat treatment, material analysis, re-certification, visual and dimension inspection services offered as standard, the organisation is frequently employed in the repair of BOPs (blowout preventers), drilling risers, guideline tensioners, gate valves, kill and choke manifolds, mud pumps, crown blocks and gear boxes, to name but a few. ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004, IQ Net and Achilles Certificates all act as assurance for customers who need further evidence of the company’s proactive approach to the industry.
