Apple has released KB/HT5884 for OSX: How to connect with File Sharing using SMB.

On the Mac …

1. Go to System Preferences/Sharing …

2. Check File Sharing, add a folder to Shared Folders, Add read/write permissions for the Users who will be allowed access to the shared folder …

3. File scanned to folder Scans…

1. Go to Send and Choose Folder Path Entry …

2. Choose SMB and enter Hostname, Path to share, username & password with rights to write to shared folder … Test connection …
