This document applies to HP LaserJet Enterprise Multifunction printers (MFPs). To send an email with an Office 365 Outlook account from the control panel of a printer, enable the Send to E-mail capability by configuring the SMTP server settings on the printer. Follow the instructions in this document to configure the printer using the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS). NOTE: You must have an email address account with Office 365 Outlook to configure the settings in the EWS. Step One: Print a Configuration page Print a configuration page to obtain an IP address of the printer. You will need the IP address to configure the settings in the EWS. From the Home screen of the printer's control panel, follow these steps: 1. Scroll to and open the following menus: Administration Reports Configuration/ Status Pages Configuration page 2. 3. Select the Enable Send to E-mail checkbox, and then under the Outgoing E-mail Servers (SMTP) section,click Add .Figure 3: E-mail Setup page

4. Select I know my SMTP server address or host name , type smtp.office365.com in the textbox, andthen click Next .Figure 4: SMTP hostname

5. In the Port Number text box, type 587 , select the Enable SMTP SSL Protocol checkbox, and then click Next.Figure 5: SSL confirmation

6. Complete the following Server Authentication Requirements:

a. Select the following Server requires authentication radio button.

b. Select Always use these credentials from the drop-down list.

c. Type your Office 365 Outlook email address and account password.

d. Click Next .

7. Select an option to define functions that the SMTP server will use to send email, and then click Next .Figure 7: Server Usage page

8. Review the selections in the Summary and Test window, type an email address to which you want to send atest email, click Test , and then click Finish .Figure 8: Summary and Test page

9. Scroll to the bottom of the E-mail Setup window and click Apply to complete the setup.Figure 9: Apply button to complete setup
