Background and significance

• At present, there is neither any formal curriculum to practice Science based evidence base in Ayurveda which doctors must acquire during their internship training, nor are there specific ingenuous resources and resource persons to facilitate such training.

Specific aims

• 1. To implement a module that use examples from Applied Medicine to teach the core principles of Science Based Evidence Based Ayurveda (SBEBA) and allow the learners to practice and research based on the core science of Ayurveda.

Specific aims

• 2. To pilot test the acceptance and effectiveness of this type of educational intervention of SBEBA in a small sample of participants of doctors of Ayurveda and evaluate their clinical appraisal skills and success rate of their treatment over a period after learning this in comparison to their former status .

Objective • To train the candidates to locate, comprehend,

recognize, appraise, translate and evaluate science based evidences in Ayurveda.

• Apply the evdience base of Basic science of Ayurveda in different levels of hierarchy of science based evidences for appraisal of patient, disease and treatment and reach science based valid conclusions in diagnosis and treatment .

• To scientifically standardise the diagnosis and prescribing of physicians in Ayurveda.

Who should attend?

• Ultimately it is the social duty and moral responsibility of all qualified practitioners of Ayurveda to attend this seminar series to culture the practice of very critically required Science Based Evidence Based Medicine.

Who should attend?

• This course is specifically intended for only those who seek to save time and effort in active participation of this training programme which incorporates various assignments and interactive sessions and who aspire to become Evidence based practitioners in Ayurveda thus advances their careers.

Who should attend?• The applicant should be a qualified graduate in Ayurvedic

system of Medicine or internees . He/ she must be able to integrate the intensive class room(CME) learning with application of principles and practices of SBEBA in oneself and every indicidual patient at his work place as well.

• Show evidence of ability and attitude to commit time to study, and make time available for all practice assignments and interactions.

First session

• The first session introduces the fundamental attitude and approach of SBEBA and evidence based management of INFECTIVE FEVERS in Ayurveda . The first session is conducted at Thalassery, Kerala on 18 th and 19th of April 2015 respectively
