As standard, Strongbox offers a powder coat paint finish.Standard stock colours are RAL 9001, RAL1013Or you may choose any standard RAL colour.
We can offer a number of specialist powder coat paint finishes for fascias such as doors, drawers and leerails etc.
These include wood grain effects as shown below.
POSTFORM EDGES
Wood grain finish gives a softer‘ambience’ effect to the furniture, whilstmaintaining the robustness required forcrew accommodation.

STRONGBOX ACCOMMODATION FURNITURE LTD is the leading UK manufacturer of metal furniture to the defence, Offshore and Marine Industries, offering modern manufacturing techniques, ground breaking design and excep-tional quality.
Formed in 1991 and now based in Houghton Regis, Dunstable, we operate from a 20,000 sq ft purpose built factory, with state of the art CAD/CAM machinery.
As well as increasing capacity, the new plant has also strengthened STRONGBOX’s ability to offer fast turnarounds for small batch or prototype orders, and large production runs.
Our in-house Design Team offers a complete furniture design service using latest design techniques including 3D modelling.
Products include cabin furniture manufactured in steel, aluminium ali-honey-comb core and composites, with ranges of Beds, Bunk systems, Pullman Beds, Sofa-beds, Wardrobes, Desks, complimented with general furniture including Unit Seating, Tables, Cupboards, Lockers and general Stowages.
DEFENCE - Warship Accommodation
Strongbox is a preferred supplier of accommodation furniture to the British Royal Navy.
Manufactured from steel or aluminium, our purpose made designs are most suitable for warship furniture, and recent projects include cabin furniture for the type 45 Destroyers and currently all the accommodation furniture for the CVF (Aircraft Carriers) Project.
OFFSHORE Accommodation
Our experienced team of designers enable us to offer accommodation solutions for either new build or refurbishment of Offshore Installations. Robustly built furniture, all to the latest Offshore Standards, with an element of design to give the accommodation a comfortable ‘ambience’.
MARINE Accommodation
A standard range of furniture ideally suited to Crew Accommodation on Cruise and Ferry, Merchant Vessels or Workboats/Barges. This range is designed with flexibility in mind, and is available on speedy deliveries, allowing quick turn-around on Projects.
