    SAFE TIRE INFLATION

    Changing and inflating tires, especially those from heavy equipment, can be hazardous.

    Under pressure, a tire and rim assembly are potentially dangerous and the uncontrolledrelease of pressure due to a burst can cause very serious injury. To prevent suchaccidental events, follow these basic safety precautions:

    . Change and inflating tires should always be accomplished per manufacturer!srecommendations, and only performed by qualified and authorized personnel.

    ". #lways use a tire cage, safety cables or chains during all initial inflations.

    $. %o not use a heavy hammer to seat loc& rings. %amage to the loc&ing lip will

    wea&en it.

    '. %o not inflate tires with flammable gases.

    (. )ever mi* rim parts of different manufacture or size. %o not use damaged parts.

    +. )ever heat, cut or weld on the wheel rim or rim parts.

    . -hen adding air to a mounted tire, do so from a distance, use a long hose with aselfattaching air chuc&. #lways stand to one side when inflating tires.
