DEC-NSW 11 March 2020 Term 1 Week 7 Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program: To celebrate a new three-year partnership between Coles and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundaon, students are invited to enter a colour-in compeon that could see the school win a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden valued at approximately $10,000. The new partnership allows children to have access to food educaon programs that will help them develop a healthy relaonship with food, self- confidence and life skills. Consent forms are aached to the newsleer and should be returned by Monday, 16 March 2020. Premiers Debang Challenge Workshop: On Monday, 23 March 2020 our Stage 3 students will be traveling to Albury to aend the Premiers Debang Challenge Workshop. The workshop is being conducted by the Department of Educaons most senior adjudicators and coaches. Topics covered will include rebual, arguments, definions and speakersroles as a well as a games and acvies SAVERNAKE SCHOOL NEWS and the opportunity to deliver a short debang speech and feedback from the experts. The aendance at the Premiers Debang Challenge Workshop complements the students work being done on persuasive wring in the classroom. Permission notes are aached and should be returned by Monday 16 March 2020. Craſternoons: On Thursday, 12 March 2020 Savernake Public School will be hosng their inaugural Craſternoon. The aſternoon will commence at 1.00 pm and all members of the community are invited to join the staff and students in working on their own project at the school. If you would like further informaon, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
