This year’s event is focused on raising funds to support the Women & Children’s Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a Massachusetts General Hospital subsidiary. Here, thousands of Seacoast area families receive care every year. Your partnership ensures valuable programs and services are available to give our youngest patients a healthy start.

In 1994, the Wentworth-Douglass Golf Tournament was created to honor the memory of a special child, Pete Gabarro who lost his battle with cancer. Today, 25 years later, it has raised over $1.5 million dollars and touched the lives of thousands of babies, children and families all over the Seacoast.

Your sponsorship of the Charity Classic helps support many Wentworth-Douglass Hospital programs and services such as the Newborn Healthy Start Program, which provides families in need with basic necessities for feeding and equipment for safe sleeping - before they leave the hospital.

The Family Wellness Education Series attracts hundreds of parents each year to attend a series of free educational sessions on current trends, topics and issues related to raising healthy children today.

New in 2019, the Seacoast Babies App will give parents-to-be an innovative digital platform to connect with their WDH healthcare team throughout their pregnancy and for post-delivery care needs.

Many therapeutic programs are also made possible for moms-to-be and for our pediatric patients. Donors to the Charity Classic provide funding for summer camps, music & art therapy programs and aquatics and horseback/hippotherapy rehabilitative treatment as well.
