The Bar Council Corporate and Commercial Law Committee (“CCLC”) is organising a virtual conference on corporate and commercial law (“Virtual Conference”) from 6 to 10 Sept 2021. This week-long Virtual Conference will involve a series of webinars on the following aspects of corporate and commercial law:
(1) Securities Legislation and Regulatory Considerations;(2) Listing Considerations under Bursa Malaysia;(3) Companies Legislation and Companies Commission of Malaysia;(4) Digital/Electronic Signatures Legislation and Developments;(5) Financial Services Legislation and Developments;(6) Tax Law;(7) Competition Law and Merger Control;(8) Insolvency Law;(9) Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009; and(10) Other topics (to be confirmed).
The Virtual Conference is open to all Members of the Bar, in-house counsel, pupils in chambers, law students, professionals from other industries, members of the public, and regulators. Speakers and moderators will comprise senior legal practitioners, and we will also invite regulators and external speakers to present at the Virtual Conference.
The details of the Virtual Conference are as follows:
