MID HIGH RETREAT
April 20th - 21st. This is a one night retreat for our mid high students and friends! It will begin on Friday night at 7:00pm and end on Saturday morning at 7:00am. At 7:30pm on Friday night, we will leave for Rebounderz in Jacksonville, FL. Rebounderz will be closed to the public while we are there from 10:30pm to 1:30am!! So we will have the place to ourselves!! Then return to the church for the rest of the retreat. Once you have signed up your child for the retreat, I will send out a detailed schedule for the night!! This is going to be an amazing trip for our senior high students! The trip is organized through Praying Pelican Ministry. If your child is interested in attending this trip

Living Bridges Transformation Class Dinners - Living Bridges Transformation Classes are a 3 phase program that teach participants how to get out of poverty and become more self-sufficient. We have been asked to provide a meal once a month. If your Sunday School class or group would like to provide a meal please contact Jennifer Clark for available dates. Rev. Hale Bishop teaches a Monday Bible study each week which is open to everyone. Join him for the Morning Bible Study at 10:00am in A-20, Param SS Room. Rev. Hale Bishop leads a men’s Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. They meet from 7:00am - 7:45am in the Library, A-32. Dr. Craig Rikard’s Bible study is finished for the Spring and will resume in the Fall.
Senior Adults - Join us Thursday, April 19th for dinner at Ray’s Millpond
Restaurant. The bus will leave from the parking from the lot behind
Carson McLane at 5:30pm. Sign up sheets are posted around the church

Do you remember the first time that you were so overwhelmed by a need that everything within you compelled you to give? I do. My first job was as a cashier in the first McDonald’s in Orlando, Florida. After cashing my first paycheck, I participated in a youth rally where a missionary spoke. My heart smiled because I could offer hope, resources, and the love of Jesus – to my “neighbors” in her village! With purposeful peace and grateful joy– I reached into my wallet where I had excitedly tucked my first earned money – and I gave it ALL!
Fifty-two mission-minded “givers” with servant hearts are members of United Methodist Women here at PAUMC! Monthly meetings allow us “connect” time to enjoy and encourage each other as we grow in our faith. We explore and experience creative ways to combine our talents and resources to BE “the hands and feet of Jesus” in our community. Yearly pledges allow us to provide for the global ministries of UMW. YOU are most welcome to serve with us! (Brochures will be handed out prior to our services this Sunday which include info about joining an existing UMW Circle OR being a “charter member” of an additional circle!)
This Sunday, April 15th, is UMW DAY at PAUMC! Allison Lindsey, Associate Director of Connectional Ministries for the South Georgia Conference, will share with us in all of our worship services. Willie and I experienced the creative talents and captivating spirit of this “sold-out-for-Jesus” friend when Allison was Children’s Director when we served in Tifton. Allison’s sermon title, “Such As These” is based on Matthew 19:14.
People of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, Ephesians 2:10 and Colossians 3:23 challenge us: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do…Whatever you do, work at it will all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” May our greatest desire be to serve Him wholeheartedly whenever and wherever He calls us!

GriefShare - will be meeting each week on Sundays 4-6pm (4/15-7/6) at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 100 E. Park Ave. Room A-34. New people are welcome to come join this group at anytime during the 13 weeks series. Each session will include a video presentation, a discussion and sharing time. The only cost is $15 for the course workbook.
