James J. Augustine, MD, FACEP Dr. Augustine brings his reimbursement expertise as Vice President of the Emergency Department Benchmarking Alliance (EDBA). He also holds positions as Clinical Associate professor at Wright State University, Director of Clinical Operations at EMP and is a current ACEP Board Member.
Edward R. Gaines III, JD, CCP Mr. Gaines is the Chief Compliance Officer at Zotec Partners, one of the largest providers of physician and hospital coding, billing and practice management services in the US. He is also the Co-Founder and a Executive Committee Board Member of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA). Mr. Gaines is a past ACEP’s Outstanding Speaker of the Year (2007-08) and a member of the ACEP Reimbursement Committee.
Michael A. Granovsky, MD, CPC, FACEP (Course Director) Dr. Granovsky is the newly crowned 2014-15 Outstanding Speaker of the Year. He has an extensive career as a coding expert holding distinct positions as Editor for ED Coding Alert, Subject Matter Expert for AAPC ED Subspecial-ty Certification Exam, Chair of the ACEP Reimbursement Committee and member of the ACEP Coding and Nomenclature Committee. He is also Course Director for ACEP’s Reimbursement and Coding Conferences.
Ron Howrigon Mr. Howrigon is President and CEO of Fulcrum Strategies, a contract negotiation and practice marketing firm specializing in improving contract language and reimbursement rates.
Kevin M. Klauer, DO, EJD, FACEP Dr. Klauer serves as Chief Medical Officer, Emergency Medi-cine, Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director of the Patient Safety Organization for TeamHealth. He has co-authored risk management books: Bouncebacks: Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine Bouncebacks: Medical and Legal and Risk Management and the Emergency Department: Execu-tive Leadership for Protecting Patients and Hospitals. He is the current ACEP Council Speaker and is a past recipient of the ACEP Honorable Mention Outstanding Speaker of the Year award (2013-14). Dr. Klauer is also Medical Editor-in-Chief of ACEP Now, ACEP’s monthly publication.
David A. McKenzie, CAE Mr. McKenzie is the Reimbursement Director for ACEP and is the liaison to the ACEP Reimbursement and Coding and Nomenclature Advisory Committee. He is the staff contact for the AMA RVS Update Committee (RUC) and the CPT Editorial Panel.
Susan Nedza, MD, MBA, FACEP Dr. Nedza is CMIO and Senior Vice President of Clinical Out-comes Management at MPA Healthcare Solutions. She is a subject matter expert of health policy, quality measures and payment models and is board certified in Clinical Informatics.
Stacie Norris, MBA, CPC, CCS-P Ms. Norris has an extensive career centering on healthcare billing and coding. She is currently Director of Coding and Quality Assurance at Zotec Partners and an AHIMA ICD-10 Certified Trainer. And most recently she has been appointed co-chair to the EDPMA Quality, Coding and Documentation Committee. She is also a member of the ACEP Coding and Nomenclature Advisory Committee and member of AHIMA.
Rebecca B. Parker, MD, FACEP Dr. Parker is President of Team Parker, LLC, a consulting group for coding, billing and compliance. She also serves as Executive Vice President for EmCare North Division and is currently the Chair of the ACEP Board of Directors.
Tim Seay, MD, FACEP Dr. Seay is President of the Greater Houston Emergency Physicians, focusing on physician entrepreneurism. His team has designed, built and operated several free standing emergency clinics. He is also the current President of the Emergency Medicine Risk Retention Group.
Todd Thomas, CCS-P Mr. Thomas is President at ERCoder, Inc. one of the nation’s most trusted coding and consulting firms supporting the emergency medical community. He is also a member of the ACEP Coding and Nomenclature Advisory Committee and member of ED Coding Alert Editorial Advisory Panel. Mr. Thomas is a past winner of the ACEP Outstanding Speaker of the Year award (2009-10)
Jennifer L. Wiler, MD, MBA, FACEP Dr. Wiler is currently Vice Chair and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado, with an interest focusing on ED operations, leadership, healthcare economics, and health policy.
Surinder Yadev, MD Dr. Yadev is the Vice President of Hospital Medicine for CEP America, spe-cializing in strategies that reduce costs and improve the patient experience.
