Italian Night at the Races
Join us for Italian Night at the Races! The evening will include live entertainment provided by Tequila Band, a delicious Italian Buffet and Harness Racing.
Admission: $35 per person (taxes and gratuity extra). Families are welcome.
Maestro Comedic Play
A comedy about the off-stage antics at the NAC Orchestra by Claude Montminy. The NAC Orchestra’s principal second violin is gunning to be concertmaster, and invites her eccentric new conductor to her home to convince him to promote her, but the Maestro has something else in mind. To make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend composer shows up and insists on making himself a third wheel for the tête-à-tête. How low will they stoop to conquer the Maestro?

Italian Week Ottawa Opening Ceremony
Join the Italian Week Ottawa Executive Committee and special guests for the raising of the Italian flag at City Hall to officially launch Italian Week Ottawa 2017! Enjoy a performance by the Ottawa Fire Services Band. A small reception catered by Di Rienzo’s to follow.

Senior’s Feast of St. Anthony
The residents of Villa Marconi and their families are invited to celebrate the Feast of St. Anthony together with a pasta dinner.

Italian-Canadian funny-man and comedian Frank Spadone is back in Ottawa for Italian Week 2017.

Italian Week Ottawa Gala
The Italian Week Ottawa Executive Committee requests the pleasure of your company to officially launch Ottawa’s 2017 Italian Week festival. Join the Committee and special guests for a traditional Italian party, including a five-course Italian meal and entertainment by The Grand Show Band.

St. Anthony’s Feast Weekend
Outdoor mass on the steps of St. Anthony’s Church followed by the St. Anthony procession through the streets of Little Italy, accompanied by marching bands. On both days there will be food, kids’ activities and music and entertainment.

Repeat performance. Italian writers read excerpts from their writings. Appear courtesy of the Quebec Writer’s Union and the Canada Council for the Arts.

Children’s Art Contest exhibition on display at the Italian Canadian Historical Centre. Contest theme was “Un ricordo nella vita dei nonni – Souvenirs of my grandparents”. Drawing contest was open to children ages 4 to 13 and video contest was open to all children ages 9 to 13.

Italian Sculpting Class
Learn how to sculpt a face with Italian-Canadian sculptor and award winning figurative artist, Maria Saracino. Maria’s one-of-a-kind sculptures have been recognized by leading international publications. Her work has won several awards as well as being included in special exhibits at museums and galleries across Canada and the United States.

Welcome to Ottawa’s 2017 Italian Week Festival At-A-Glance
Celebrating Italian Heritage Month in June is what the Italian Week Festival is all about! Here is the schedule of planned events during the festival. Many organizers are involved in bringing all that is Italian to you.
The Preston Street Business Improvement Association (BIA), brings you the Ferrari Festival, the Vintage Italian Car Parade and the Preston Street Criterium Bike Race all during the Grand Finale Weekend from June 16 to 18.
The Settimana Italiana Committee brings you the Grand Finale Weekend entertainment under the tent in the City of Ottawa Parking Lot at 301 Preston St. Join us for some rockin’ Italian and English singers to dance the night away! Earlier in the month, we also bring you an Italian Night at the Races, Opening Ceremony and a Gala Dinner to kick off the activities from June 8 to 18.
