Let’s continue to go through the example

• Susan bought three DVDs each costing £4.25. She paid with a £20 note. How much change does she receive?

• I can do £4.25 x 3 to work out how much Susan bought the DVDs and then subtract that away from the £20 note.

• £4.25 x 3 = £12.75

• £20.00 - £12.75 = £7.25
