Life Cycle Of A Chicken

How The Life Cycle Works?

• First the egg is inside the hen.• The chicken lays the egg. It is not born with any other

chick at the time.• After three weeks the egg hatches into a plain chick

without any feathers.• It starts growing its feathers.• After three months the chick grows bigger and

becomes older. • When it is fully grown it starts to lay eggs.• The chicken dies when it is 1 to 2 years old.

The Chicken’s Habitat

o When you first get chickens you need to put them in a box .

You need to make sure they are warm, you can put a lamp by them if it is not warm enough.

When they are older start to put them outside surrounded by chicken wire.

When they are even bigger you can let them in your backyard and let them run free. But make sure they are still away from cats and dogs so they don’t get hurt.

underneath its head.
