What are the advantages of using SAS Studio?
In the SAS Studio Basic and SAS Studio Mid-Tier (the enterprise edition)
configurations, data files are stored on the server, and programs are executed
remotely on a SAS server.
There are several reasons why companies prefer a distributed environment with
SAS on a shared, remote server:
centralize computing and data resources
apply security policies to prevent sensitive data from residing on individual
users' machines
facilitate better control and auditing for data access
simplify SAS software updates
adopt SAS grid technology to scale processing
