Windstorm codes have been implemented

throughout the country in recent years to protect

buildings and the occupants inside from the

destructive forces of hurricanes and other powerful

storms. The intent of the windstorm codes is to

prevent pressure fluctuations and wind-driven debris

from infiltrating the building exterior. If a single

structural component of the building envelope is

compromised, destructive hurricane winds can enter,

creating an internal pressure change that can literally

blow the roof off a structure. Door hardware is one of

the critical components that must remain intact for a

building to survive. The codes now in place set

minimum standards that must be met to ensure door

hardware can withstand destructive hurricane force

winds and debris impacts.

SARGENT products are tested to meet Dade County

Protocols and other local code requirements for high

wind load and missile impact. Products include

Concealed Vertical Rod, Rim and Mortise Lock exit

devices, as well as, Mortise and Cylindrical Locks.

SARGuide,™ with integrated electroluminescent EXIT

signage, addresses the increasing concern about safe public egress,

particularly in low-visibility conditions.

SARGuide provides optimum visibility by illuminating the exit

device or mortise lock. The blue-green light is three to five times

more visible than any other light source, making the escape route

easily identifiable in all situations, from bright lighting to complete

darkness, including smoky conditions. SARGuide dramatically

improves the safety of any public building.

ElectroLynx™ – Hardwiring made easy™

SARGENT introduces ElectroLynx, a plug-in connector system that allows

installers to quickly and easily connect SARGENT electromechanical locks

with CECO and Graham doors & frames, McKINNEY hinges and other

ASSA ABLOY products.

Make the perfect connection every time with SARGENT’s ElectroLynx. The

plug-in universal connectors and our easy, color-coded wire system

eliminate matching wires. Wiring is a snap and completely fool-proof.

This pre-wired opening system - standard on most SARGENT

electromechanical products - features Molex® connectors

that snap together, attaching the door, hinge and lock to

the building’s power source. Whether you use the system

now, or plan to upgrade in the future, changing the

components is as easy as plugging a phone into a wall jack.

SARGENT ASSA V-10™ SecurityCylinderThe patented UL437 key combined with exclusive

keyways provide maximum security, key control and

flexibility at the facility user lever. Retrofits into most

commercial hardware and is field serviceable.

Keso-F1™ Series Security KeySystemA patented cylinder and key with 3 banks of pins is

extremely pick-resistant and allows for multiple

levels of masterkeying with no loss of security. While

maintaining the 3 banks of pins, the Keso-F1

product adds an additional dimension of dimpling to

the key blank offering a greater range of both change

and master key combinations to greatly expand its

master keying capabilities to both new and existing

Keso security key systems end users.

Signature™ Series Security KeySystemGreater security and convenient patented key control

are the main benefits of the Signature Series. The

patented key design provides additional control over

unauthorized key duplication, and unique end-user

assigned code patterns allows the facility extra

control over their key system.

XC Series SystemGain the extra key control of a patented key and

cylinder mechanism plus greater security without the

need to change your existing key system.

Compatible with most existing SARGENT key sys-

tems, XC keys will operate existing non-XC cylinders

providing the means for enhancing the level of con-

trol in an existing masterkey system. Key control is

further increased, as XC blanks are only available

through authorized SARGENT distributors, limiting

unauthorized duplication.

Removable Core SystemsThe 6300 Series provides a system of removable

and construction core cylinders that allow for quick

keying changes without having to remove the lock

from the door or disassemble the knob or lever.

Increased key control and flexibility result as the

cores are readily interchangeable among all

SARGENT lock families allowing for fast keying changes.

Small Format Interchangeable Core(SFIC) SystemsThe 7300 B Series is similar to the SARGENT 6300

Series as that it provides a system of interchangeable

and construction cores that allow for quick keying

change but in a smaller universal format. This

smaller format is available in the new SARGENT 4A

and 4B keyways and with most popular competitive

keyways.

SARGENT Helps You Take Control!Absolute ControlPatented keys in exclusive keyways are virtually

impossible to duplicate. Cylinders provide maximum

pick and drill resistance (UL437). Cylinders and keys

are available only through authorized SARGENT

distributors.

Extra ControlPatented key design provides additional resistance

to duplication. Cylinders are pick-resistant.

Drill-resistant features are also available as an option

Cylinder Systems

www.sargentlock.comwww.assaabloydss.com

Absolute ControlSARGENT ASSA V-10™Patented key design and exclusive end-user keyways offer maximum protection against unauthorized key duplication and the

highest level of control currently available. V-10 cylinders meet UL437 standards for pick and drill resistance. Cylinders incorporate

a dual locking mechanism with coded side bar and specially designed stainless steel pins to thwart picking attempts. Rim, mortise

and cylindrical lock cylinders are available to retrofit most popular brands of commercial hardware and are field serviceable.

Patented Key Control. Available in removable core.

Keso F1 UL437Keso F1 provides a maximum level of control with a unique six-sided key design. Keso F1 UL437 cylinders meet UL437 standards

for pick and drill resistance. The dimpled key requires sophisticated key-cutting equipment. The unusual cylinder with 3 banks of

pins is extremely pick-resistant and allows for multiple levels of masterkeying with no loss of security. While maintaining the 3

banks of pins, the Keso F1 product adds an additional dimpling dimension to the key blank offering a greater range of both change

and master key combinations. This greatly expands its master keying capabilities to both new and existing end users. The Keso F1

is backward compatible to the original Keso Systems.

Patented Key Control.

Extra ControlKeso F1Keso F1 offers existing Keso users the opportunity to regain the security of patent protection for their locking systems. This system

offers all the same features as the Keso F1 UL437 version without the additional pick and drill resistant features. It is perfect for

doors where physical attack is not as critical.

Patented Key Control. Available in removable core.

Signature and Signature UL437Extra security, exclusive end-user pattern and patented key control are the main benefits of the Signature Series. The patented key

design provides additional control over unauthorized key duplication, while the cylinder’s unique design resists attempts at

manipulation. The Signature feature is offered in the majority of SARGENT keyways to provide a perfect solution to upgrading the

level of control in an existing masterkey system. Signature cylinders that retrofit into almost any SARGENT lockset, as well as most

commercially available brands of mortise locks and exit devices, are field serviceable.

Patented Key Control. Available in removable core. Optional UL437 Series offers drill-resistant features.

Intermediate ControlKeso & Keso UL437SARGENT recommends the new Keso F1, but SARGENT will continue to support original Keso systems.

XC SeriesThe SARGENT XC Series is a patented product incorporating a side pin mechanism working in conjunction with a specially milled

key. Available only through authorized SARGENT distributors, XC provides an intermediate level of key control by ensuring that

keyblanks are not readily available in the market. Offered in many of SARGENT’s standard keyways, XC is readily integrated as a

cost effective means of achieving higher security key control in an existing key system.

Patented Key Control. Available in Small Format Interchangeable Core.

Limited ControlConventionalCylinders and keys provide a standard level of control in a full range of keyways. Geographically restricted key sections are

available.

6300 Series Removable Core

The 6300 Series Removable core cylinders and construction cores allow quick keying changes without having to remove the lock

from the door or disassembling the knob or lever. Core cylinders are interchangeable with all SARGENT mortise locks, exit devices,

cylindrical locks, padlocks and auxiliary locks.

7300 Series Interchangeable Core

SARGENT’s version of Arrow, BEST and Falcon* type interchangeable core is offered in two new SARGENT keyways and BEST

keyways. These cores are available in many BEST keyways and two SARGENT 7-pin keyways.

Access Control Products RF TechnologyRF technology offers stand-alone access control enhancement allowing the user to remotely control the lock by means of a hand-held transmitter (RF Fob).

The Profile lock is easily programmed for three primary RF actuation modes: Passage, Standard or Panic. RF Technology is an additional means of operating the

lock by direct keypad code entry or proximity credential presentation.

Primary modes of RF Technology

Passage: Remotely toggle (lock/unlock) the unit which

remains locked/unlocked until the RF Fob is pressed

again. Convenient applications: To unlock doors for

extended periods of time; employee entrances, office

suites, etc.

Unlock/Relock: Remotely unlock for a defined period

of time: (1 to 99 seconds) and then automatically

relock at the end of that time period. Typical

applications: Security entrances, guard stations,

anywhere an electric strike is not feasible and/or an

audit trail is desired.

Panic: An RF Fob set as a “Panic User” can be used

to quickly and easily remotely lock entry doors during

emergency situations to prevent entry by intruders.

Remains locked until reset by Master or Emergency

code.

• Available in keypad (TU), keypad /proximity (TP) and proximity only (TA) models

• UL and cUL Listed for fire doors

• Typical operating distance of 35 to 75 feet on inside of door; 10 to 25 feet on outside of door

• Ideal for retrofit applications: Minimal door prep with no frame prep, wiring or power supply needed

• Multiple RF Fobs may be programmed into a single lock

• LED indicator on inside escutcheon shows when RF lock is actuated

• Bored-in, mortise lock and exit device versions

• All Profile Series v.G1 finishes and levers, including Coastal Series available

KP Series –Keypad Operated LocksThe KP Series Keypad locks are designed for areas that require stand alone, basic

authorized entry capabilities. They are battery powered, motor driven, self-contained locks

that use microprocessor based controllers with non-volatile memory. All programming is

done through the keypad at the door and can support up to 100 users. Lock operation is

programmed by the user according to opening needs, such as momentary unlocking,

passage or other available modes.

Supported by the physical security of a SARGENT ANSI Grade 1 mechanical locking

mechanism, (bored-in, mortise or exit device), this lock provides the security and

functionality needed to control access to store rooms, offices, stairwells, conference rooms

and restrooms. With the cylinder override feature, the keypad lock can be readily

integrated into an existing masterkeying system.

Lever trim and finishes are the same as those used with the Profile Series and with

standard SARGENT mechanical locks, providing for continuity of design and look

throughout the building.

– A NEW Innovation in Life Safety

SARGENT, partnering with

E-Lite Technologies, Inc.®, the world-wide

leader in electroluminescent technology,

introduces SARGuide. The SARGuide™ exit device

contains an illuminated touchpad to enhance the

visibility of exit locations in dark or smoke-filled

passages. As a supplement to existing codes for

egress lighting, SARGuide effectively improves the

safety of any public building! SARGuide addresses

the increasing concern about public egress,

particularly in low-visibility conditions. Research

shows that in panic conditions, exit signs and

locations are missed or go unnoticed. Smoke rises

and can quickly block the visibility of standard exit

signage. SARGENT exit devices, with the SARGuide

feature, are placed lower on the door providing an

extended window of opportunity for safe emergency

egress. Specify SARGENT Exit Devices with SARGuide

to ensure the highest level of safety and security!

Benefits• Highly visible in smoke and other low

visibility conditions

• Three to five times greater visibility than anyother light source

• Can be easily spotted from considerable distances

• Green/blue color conducive to night vision

• No filaments to break or fail

• Immune to vibration or shock

• Extremely durable construction. Continues to operate even if pierced

• Intuitive operation. Integral “EXIT” signage guides users directly to the means of egress

SARGENT exit devices supply the robust means to ensure safe egress from schools, auditoriums, public and commercial buildings during routine, daily activities and

emergencies while providing the highest level of security at the opening. Designed and manufactured to survive high usage, abusive locations, these exit devices

maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance with a wide range of locking functions. Available in the mechanical functions to allow proper operation of the opening,

they are BHMA certified to ANSI A156.3 Grade 1, comply with NFPA 80 and 101, and are fire Listed by UL and cUL.

All SARGENT Concealed Vertical Rods are now available without a bottom rod! A great solution for those cross corridor doors in hospitals, schools and nursing

homes. No bottom rod exit devices eliminate the need for a floor strike, decreases installation time, easier door prep and shortens rod adjustment time. Concealed

top rod offers security and aesthetics. Top bolt is now guarded for additional security. Center case chassis has been redesigned with smooth linear motion. No bot-

tom strike allows free access for wheelchair and carts and eliminates tripping potential.

Photoluminescence - The Latest Life Safety Innovation! Photoluminescent (PL) technology is ideal for

retrofit situations. Ambient lighting - the only power

source - is absorbed by the photoluminescent

coating and is emitted when the light source is

diminished or eliminated.

• No wiring or maintenance needed

• Recharges from ambient light

• Simple economical installation

Traditional, Familiar and SecureWhen a more traditional look or styling feature such

as a raised panel door is being used, the SARGENT

90 Series supplies the means to satisfy style and Life

Safety/Fire code requirements. Architectural

continuity is easy to maintain during renovations or in

additions to older construction with the 90 Series

because original and new hardware blend seamlessly

together. Based on a simple lever design, the 90

Series are BHMA certified to ANSI A156.3 Grade 1

and are amply suited for operation in heavy duty

exterior and interior applications.

With a selection of eleven mechanical functions and

a variety of outside trims, control of egress and

entrance through virtually any opening is easy and

simple. Constructed of brass, bronze, stainless steel

and heavy cast, non-ferrous alloys, they are Fire

Listed by UL and cUL.

980 Mullions

Mullions provide a solid and secure center point for

double door rim bolts to lock firmly behind while

providing a surface for the facing door edges to butt

against. This ensures a secure, weather or smoke

tight seal between the door and mullion without

having to have two complete frames and the space

between them. Typically, when two frames are used,

smaller doors than the opening or corridor can

accommodate are used. Mullions allow for the use

of wider doors, making for wider openings and

easier movement through exits and corridors.

Mullions are available to meet most opening

requirements; fixed, removable, fire rated, high

abuse and lockable. Typical removable mullions are

extruded aluminum intended for general usage and

non-fire rated applications with top and bottom

retainers designed for easy removal. Fire rated

mullions are iron and securely mounted in place by

the top and bottom retainers. These mullions are

also specified for high abuse locations such as

schools and public buildings.

When corridors or entrance ways occasionally need

to be full width to allow the unimpeded flow of

people or equipment but maintain the security of the

double door opening, a 980 lockable mullion is ideal.

Like the permanent version, the lockable mullion

provides a solid and secure center point for the rim

bolt to lock behind. When the need for additional

width occurs, the head of the mullion is unlocked

and the mullion is moved out of the way; then

replace and relock when finished. No tools are

needed, just the cylinder key. Designed for wide stile

doors, in aluminum or fire rated steel, the 980

lockable mullion is the easy way to provide wide

openings with a SARGENT exit device.

20 and 30 SeriesSimilar in concept and operation to the 80 Series, the 20 and

30 Series provide a cost effective alternative for locations

required to meet Life Safety and fire codes. Constructed of

rolled steel and finished with a rust resistant powder coat to

match popular plated finishes, they are BHMA certified to

ANSI 156.3 Grade 1 standards and UL and cUL Listed.

Chassis is heavy, cast non-ferrous alloy that mounts sepa-

rately to the door, assuring easy installation and mainte-

nance. Offered in the four most popular functions as rim or

vertical rod devices, they handle the needs of single and dou-

ble doors, including mullions. A variety of through-bolted, key

Door Closers

www.sargentlock.comwww.assaabloydss.com

Close the Door!Door closers provide the means to closing a door and preventing it from blowing open in the wind, slamming, or staying open unintentionally.

They provide the force to close an opening in an emergency, preventing the spread of smoke or fire and help limit unauthorized re-entry.

All SARGENT door closers are BHMA certified to ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 requirements. To accommodate the myriad of interior and exterior door applications, varying

door widths, weights, and degrees of swing, a wide selection of cast iron and aluminum body closers are available. Mounting styles include surface mount and con-

cealed for a wide range of opening conditions. Adjustable closing force and an assortment of arm styles allows for multiple closer mounting positions such as stan-

dard, parallel, track, and top jamb.

Aluminum Body ClosersThe surface mount, cast aluminum closers come in a variety of types from basic and economical, to commercial and architectural grade designs. All feature separate

closing, backcheck and latching speed adjustments along with adjustable spring power. ADA compliance is achievable with most units, depending upon the actual

application. All Series are UL and cUL Listed.
