Faculty of Engineering Technology and Research (FETR) is a self-financed

degree college managed by SVPES trust near Bardoli of Surat district offering five

courses viz. 1) Chemical Engg.; 2) Mechanical Engg.; 3) Electrical Engg. 4)

Computer Engg.; 5) Civil Engg. With an intake of 420 students per annum. With

great pleasure we feel proud to acclaim the splendid success of our tech-fest

“VISVESMRUTI-2015 which was held on 15th and 16

th of September 2015 to

celebrate „Engineer‟s Day‟. It was an earnest effort done by our institution to pay

tribute to the legendary engineer Shri Mokshagundam Vishvesvaraya.

We have been organizing technical events as well to cultivate innovative

technical abilities among the learners. Just like the previous year, our institute

organized the tech-fest “VISVESMRUTI-2015” expecting promising students

from various colleges. Almost 1990 students have participated in the various

events of the tech-fest.

The inaugural function started at 10:00 a.m. at Auditorium of FETR, Bardoli

on 15th September 2105. Prof. Trupti Desai (H&S Dept.) and Prof. Nikunj Khatri

(H&S Dpet.) hosted the entire event. The function begun with the prayer by Prof.

Ashish K. Desai and his team. The atmosphere became more divine with the

Lightening of the lamps done by the dignitaries.

The tech-fest was inaugurated with the precious presence of Shri R.S.

Ninama( IAS and DDO of Tapi district) ,Dr. Shivendra Gupta (Member of board

of GCSR, GTU), Shri Vipulbhai Desai (Managing Director & Chairman of PEPL),

Shri Vijay Davariya (Director of Shri Vasishtha group of school ), Shri Hiren K.

Panchal (Director of M/S Panchal Engg. Works, Bardoli ).

The inaugural ceremony was also graced with presence of Shri Babubhai V.

Patel(Trustee of SVPES), Shri Natvarbhai N. Patel (Vice President of SVPES),

Shri Arunbhai N. Patel (Secretary of SVPES), Shri Mahendrabhai H. Patel

(Member of SVPES) and Shri Nanubhai J. Patel. The introduction of the guests is

given by Prof. K.B.Rathod (HOD of Mech. Dept.). The welcome dance was also

performedd by the girls of Computer department.

The Introductory speech regarding Visvesmruti was given by Principal of

FETR Dr. Latesh B. Chaudhari. Sir also gave brief overview about institute‟s

achievements and congratulates the participants for making the tech-fest

successful.

An inspiring speech was imparted by Shri R.S.Ninama. Sir emphasis on

dutiful towards the job, not only that but one has to be alert and get oneself updated

of the latest technology and knowledge. The students were also benefited by the

speech of Dr. Shivendra Gupta. He emphasized on being skillful, and develops

oneself according to need and requirement of the contemporary India, It is not

important the how scholar you are at studies but it is also important to have

practical knowledge. He emphasized on being competent to cope up with the

tough situation that may arise in future. Both the dignitaries congratulated the

institute for its continuous progress. Our institute was extremely privileged that

both the dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence.

Vishvesvaraya was also presented among the audience to demonstrate the life story

of the great engineer. The video of Technical festival Visvesmruti 2015 was also

revealed among the participants to enlighten all the events of tech-fest and to show

the glimpse of the memories of Visvesmruti-2014. The unveiling of Souvenir 2015

was carried out by the dignitaries on the Dias.

This two-day festival comprised of various technical events as follows. All

these competitions were held under the title of Vacha’ ,‘Viviksha’ ,‘Vichar’

,‘Viyukti’ ,‘Vivartan’ , ‘Vaividhya’ and ‘Viniyog’.

We also had two demonstration vans from GEDA, Gandhinagar imparting

knowledge on the subjects - energy conservation and utilization of solar energy.

The students from various schools are invited to demonstrate these projects.

The tech-fest ended on 16th

of September, 2015 with Valedictory function

and Prize distribution ceremony. This occasion was graced by Shri Bhaveshbhai

Patel (Vice Chairman of Bardoli Sugar Factory), Shri Arjunbhai Modi (Director of

Ambika Auto Group, Kamrej) and Shri Mitishbhai Modi (Owner of Mitish Modi.

& Co.).

The students were congratulated by Shri Babubhai V. Patel (Trustee of

SVPES), Shri Arunbhai Patel (Secretary of the SVPES), Shri Mahendrabhai Patel

Patel (Member of SVPES) Shri Anilbhai Patel, and Dr. Latesh Chaudhari

(Principal of the FETR).

The entire prize distribution ceremony was hosted by Prof. Ashish K. Desai

(Mech. Dept.), Prof. Dhamrishtha R. Chaudhari (Comp. Dept.) and Prof. Karan

Bhatt (Comp. Dept.). The vote of thanks was presented by General Secretary of

institute Mr. Smit Naik. The entire function ended with National Anthem.

Our tech-fest “VISVESMRUTI – 2015” materialized with splendid success

as students from various institutes actively and zestfully participated. Almost 1990

students were registered for various events from various colleges such as Pacific

School of Engineering-Palsana, SCET- Surat, CKPIT-Surat, Bhagwan Mahavir

College of Engg. & Technology-Surat, GEC-Valsad, SSAIT Navsari, SNPIT-

Umrakh, NGPP-Tajpore, VIMAT- Anita, Kim, SSASIT, Surat and many others. It

was a creative break for the students and they reflected their best ideas and

potential. It was a kind of powerful outflow from students of their hidden potential.

Ultimately we can say that the black and white picture of VISVESMRUTI –

2015” was filled by the students with innumerable colors of creativity, innovative

ideas, confident performances, sportsmanship spirit, fervor and unstoppable

energy. And so, “VISVESMRUTI – 2015” was made an unforgettable experience

to be cherished forever.
