This facet is amply proved by the fact that we have added 7 (seven) PhDs to
our faculty list - 4 (four) by way of new faculty members joining us and

funding to the tune of Rs 50000.00 from SAE India.
PLACEMENT:
This year was the 14th consecutive year for Infosys as our Day-1 hirer. It is
pertinent to note here that despite a significantly depressant placement mood
in the market and a substantial drop in Infosys hiring from all Tier-1
institutions, our numbers has been enviably good. This also is the 4th
consecutive year IVTL have been to our campus for hiring. This clearly
reflects the quality of our students as well as the trust that has been
developed because of the transparency in our interactions with the various
Corporate entities.
As of today our students have participated in 56 placement drives (on
campus as well as off campus pooled drives). Almost 75% of the eligible
12
5
candidates have a job offer on hand. This offer could be a job offer to join
after the exams, or an internship being converted into a job, or a job offer
after successful completion of a training session.
In addition to the above we have another 49 students awaiting either dates
for their final rounds or results of the final round.
We actively support students to take up extended internships that generally
culminate in placement in that organisation. We have currently 71 students
on paid internship.
It is gratifying to register here that while we have still not closed our
placement year for the 2018 batch, the placement year for some of the 2019
batch students has already commenced with an internship program
culminating in a placement.

I would like to thank the Management of this institution in general and
our Secretary in particular for giving me this opportunity to be part of our joint

Institution. Even though it has been mentioned before, I would be failing in my
duty if I do not record here the significant contribution that has been made, by
our Late Director, Prof. V. Nagarajan, towards making this institution a true
temple of learning. At this juncture I would like to reiterate that the best way to
pay homage to our “Bhishmaacharya” would be to follow without fail the
various nuggets of advice that he gave us individually as well as collectively. I
must also thank the students, the biggest stakeholder here, for maintaining
discipline and for the love and respect that they shower on me. The members of
the staff both teaching and non-teaching deserve my sincere thanks for their
unstinted support.
I am sure with all your support I can safely assure all the stake holders

students for JAVA Oracle Academy and 377 students under the Infosys

It is indeed gratifying for me to document the fact that all the above
achievements by the students in the co-curricular field have been possible
because of the tremendous and selfless contributions by the faculty member
concerned and I take this opportunity to thank all of them for their
exemplary effort and request them to continue this good work so that the
students of this institution will achieve higher and nobler laurels.
STAFF ACHIEVMENTS:
This laudable achievement by the students in the curricular and co-curricular
activities was possible only because of the dedicated band of faculty
members who also constantly strive to improve their own knowledge and
qualifications. This facet is amply proved by the fact that we have added 10
(ten) PhD’s to our faculty list this year and 6 (six) of our faculty members
have submitted/registered for their PhDs.. In addition our faculty members
have submitted 118 articles in peer reviewed journals and presented 40

PLACEMENT:
This year was the 13th consecutive year for Infosys as our Day-1 hirer. It is
pertinent to note here that despite significant drop in Infosys hiring from
Tier-1 institutions we did not have any major change in the numbers of
Infosys placed students. This reflects the quality of our students as well as
the trust that has been developed because of the transparency in our
interactions with the Corporate.
As of today 70% (288 out of 418) of the eligible candidates have a job offer
on hand. This offer could be a job offer to join after the exams, or an
internship being converted into a job or a job offer after successful
completion of a training session for a short duration.
In addition to the above we have another 138 students awaiting either dates
for their final rounds or results of the final round.

To bridge the gap between the industry and academia, the college arranges a
branch wise Alumni Meet with very encouraging results.
The alumni regularly visit the campus, address and motivate the present
final and pre-final year students and keep them informed of the industry
expectations and developments.
Such alumni meets have also generated potential corporate hirers for the
institution.

The department of Management Studies conducted Lakshya 2016 with participation of more than 300 students from various other colleges.
A significant change in the scenario this year has been the increase in the number of paid internships that the students have taken up. We have currently 40 students undergoing internships in various corporates. These internships will culminate in the students being offered a placement in the company. These students have in fact started earning their stipends as interns even before they graduate.

One of the proudest moments of our college was when our consistent
