Services for teaching, research andco-innovation
SAP University Alliances is a global program that providesmore than 3,000 universities with free SAP software licensesfor academic purposes. Within this program the SAP Univer-sity Competence Centers (UCC) host SAP solutions forteaching, research and co-innovation.
In addition, UCCs develop and manage academic teachingmaterials to assist lecturers and researchers. While UCCsassure 24/7 availability of complex system landscapes andsupport users closely, faculty members can fully concentrateon their core competencies: teaching and research.
By using our scenario-based and practical curricula on latestSAP solutions, lecturers and students can reach their fullpotential. Our comprehensive teaching materials consist ofpresentations, case studies and hands-on exercises. Additio-nal teaching tools facilitate continuous student assessmentsand foster group discussions.

Main features of the curriculum
This teaching and learning environment gives a comprehen-sive overview of extensive business processes in a medium-sized company. It is based on the fictitious bicycle manufac-turer Global Bike.
The individual learning modules include a slide set to intro-duce the respective processes and a description of the mas-ter and transactional data required in an SAP S/4HANA sys-tem. Introductory exercise, case studies and challenges helpstudents and lecturers understand and process typical busi-ness activities. Exercises and case studies use the browser-based SAP Fiori Launchpad, which simplifies the access to theSAP system, especially in distance learning.
Topics of the curriculum
Presentation of SAP SE
The first chapter briefly presents the company SAP SE andoutlines the architecture of SAP S/4HANA in a comprehensiveoverview. A description of basic concepts such as organizati-onal units, master data and transactional data follows.
Navigation in SAP Fiori and SAP GUI
The navigation course explains the basics of user manage-ment, user-specific settings and the navigation in SAP S/4HA-NA. This chapter also clarifies how to navigate in SAP Fioriand SAP GUI and provides a first practical experience with anSAP S/4HANA system.
Learning Snacks
Learning Snacks offer students individual, interactive self-testing.
Global Bike
This chapter explains in detail the structure of the underlyingmodel company Global Bike.
Business processes
Every learning modules introduces one or more extensivebusiness processes from business-relevant areas of a manu-facturing company. These modules are independent of eachother and can be used in any given order.
