HOA Coordination with Other CommunitiesIs anyone in the community interested in helping with this?

My name is Bob Lindeman. I am the president of the Timber Canyon HOA. We expect to initiate discussion directly with our town and county representatives concerning the various activities that are impacting our

communities. The status of the Inter Government Agreement (IGA) between the town and county, the developments in our immediate area and the related infrastructure upgrades such as the Crowfoot and Founders modifications, etc. are possible topics. We would like to have the other local HOAs participate in these discussions. We are looking for the appropriate contact in the Sapphire Pointe HOA to coordinate these discussions. Please let us know if the Sapphire Pointe HOA is interested and who we should use as the POC. Thanks,

HOA Board HappeningsFive (!) representatives from Verizon Wireless attended the meeting and were very informative and happy to answer our questions. They noted that 80% of households now are wireless, and with the new antenna our community would be 5-g ready. An important question had to do with their building an antenna that would accommodate other providers. See the graph on page 3, which explains radio frequency waves. Negotiations still are ongoing.

Heather Renfro, the new clubhouse manager, has been busy! She totally cleaned the upper deck area and grill. She has reorganized the storage room upstairs as well as the office downstairs, is working on the storage area downstairs, and has met with the pool contractor. All of the windows need to be evaluated (is there a community member who is in the window business?) and several blinds need repair. She and Rex Williams added door stops to most of the doors in the building. Smoke/CO alarms have been added to the clubhouse, with a system for alerting Heather’s phone if there is a problem. We want to stress that the dumpster at the clubhouse is for the clubhouse use only. Please do not bring unwanted large items there for disposal. We recently learned that the clubhouse can have X-1 from Comcast, and the Board voted to allow Heather to look into a new tv set. It would have many uses, including movie nights at the pool.

As Social Chairman, Heather mentioned there will be no party for the pool opening (May 27), but we will plan a fun event for the 4th of July. Another possible event is the first annual Sapphire Pointe Chili contest to be held in September! She met with homeowners interested in helping with events before the Board meeting, and will continue to do so. If you are interested in what the Social Committee is up to, please join Heather at 6 pm on Board meeting nights at the clubhouse. Heather would like to thank people who have dropped off Easter eggs for next

year’s egg hunt, and will continue to take donations. Please leave eggs at the clubhouse door or email Heather at [email protected], and she will pick up your eggs.

Several truckloads of free dirt have been delivered to the Kryptonite island. Three contractors gave us bids on arranging the dirt into berms, rearranging the exiting boulders, and adding seeding. The Board voted to accept one of the bids, but we have no timetable at this time for completing the work.

Front Range Recreation’s pool contract was ratified.

Fifteen new trees have been added to the community landscape. They replaced trees that were dead, missing, or dying.

A homeowner is concerned about the lack of attention being given to pedestrians in crosswalks. We will look into the type of signs used near crosswalks in downtown Castle Rock.

Cliffside’s landscaping is being worked on in preparation for the newer area being turned over to the Sapphire Pointe HOA. Many new trees are being planted and the common areas will be refurbished. We are looking into getting the light at the flagpole repaired and getting a new flag. Since the flag is not lit at this time, it was taken down. Is there anyone in the community who can properly dispose of an old flag? Please let Lyn know at [email protected].
