Solution

1. Implement the attached source code corrections.

2. As you cannot use this note to implement the selection textsautomatically, implement the following change manually:

Call transaction SE38 for report FAGL_SPLINFO_COMPRESS.

In the menu, choose Goto -> Text elements -> Selection texts.

Set the "Dictionary reference" indicator for the SO_AWTYP, SO_BELNR,

SO_BUKRS, SO_GJAHR and SO_HKONT items.

Insert the following text for the P_TEST item:

Switch to "Text symbols" and enter the following texts:

CNT Count

DOC Number of compressed documents

SPL Number of compressed FAGL_SPLINFO entries

TST Test run resultsUPD Update run results

VAL Number of compressed FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL entries

3. SAP recommends to start the program in 'Test mode' first to get an

overview of how many records can be compressed. Please have a look

especially at the 'Number of compressed FAGL_SPLINFO entries', which shows

you how many identical FAGL_SPLINFO records exist, that can be compressed

and deleted. To see the compression percentage you have to implement also

the related note 1343413.

4. SAP recommends to make a backup of the relevant tables / system before

starting report FAGL_SPLINFO_COMPRESS in the production system in update

mode.

5. Start the report FAGL_SPLINFO_COMPRESS to get rid of the unnecessary

table entries.
