INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCES WORKSHOP (IN ENGLISH) 26 SEPTEMBER, 9:30-11:00 AM; 11:30 AM -1:00 PM International Office, Palazzina Tumminelli, room 210 By: Dr. Julia González

Studying in a country and culture other than one´s own is both a challenge and an opportunity. International organizations need their personnel to be able to understand not only different languages, but also the frameworks and meanings implicit in different cultures to cooperate efficiently, to live and work, to develop together, to avoid conflict …to listen and to value other ways of approaching reality. In our multicultural and interdependent world, these capacities are in growing demand. This workshop will focus on what can be done during a period of full immersion in another culture and the many fantastic opportunities that it entails.
