1. How to KAUST SAP Access Request tile? Access the portal link https://portal.kaust.edu.sa and enter login credentials.

Click on Service Request Management Tab

Request initiation has 3 step process as mentioned below.

2. Who can create SAP Access Request? Basically, 2 types of requests can be raised as mentioned in the dropdown list.

STEP: 1

2.1 Requester himself create the request using “SELF” option. Click on Request Access tab and on Add roles link to add record as seen below.

Enter role description and click on search button as seen below.

Search the role by name, descriptions, system ID or reference user.

In a similar way, business role can also be requested.

2.2 Requester can create request using “OTHRES” option for other user. Click on search icon to enter search criteria to add roles.

Select the record and click on select button.

If request is submitted for external/non-employee type category user then the below warning message

appears.

Select the role and update the validity date and ensure the reason is provided.

The confirmation message dialog box appears once request is submitted successfully.

Note: The request can't be initiated for already pending/rejected roles for the user on same day.

3. What email notifications are triggered? The below notification would be sent to both request once the request is created successfully.

Once your request is approved by respective owner below notification is sent to requester.

If no roles are added then Existing Roles tab display no data as seen below.

Once the request is submitted successfully the record appears in pending status as shown below.

Requester can view the approver name and request reason by clicking on highlighted links mentioned below.

Click on arrow to see the request details.

In a similar way, the request status for business role can be checked under request status tab as seen below.

Business role name will appear under reason of request.

The roles belong to business role can be viewed after clicking on arrow.
