Skill development is very crucial, if this resource is not utilized in a proper manner then not only TEMPL will lose the best talents but also it will affect the Production & Image of the organization. Now we are having more than 2000 Manpower to satisfy the operational needs. So to looking at the future and proper Controlling of Human Resource TEMPL needs systematic flow of information from top management to lower management and vice versa by the means of technological resources. To cope with the information generation and proper flow in organization there are many kind of ERP software are available in market and from which widely accepted and popular ERP solution provider SAP we have choose and going to map for our THRIVENI operation. lose the best talents but also it will affect the Production & Image of the organization. Now we are

having more than 2000 Manpower to satisfy the operational needs. So to looking at the future and

proper Controlling of Human Resource TEMPL needs systematic flow of information from top

management to lower management and vice versa by the means of technological resources.

To cope with the information generation and proper flow in organization there are many kind of ERP

software are available in market and from which widely accepted and popular ERP solution provider SAP

we have choose and going to map for our THRIVENI operation.

Existing Operational Problems Faced by HR Persons & Top Management in TEMPL.

1. Time taking, more man hour required to generate any information related to decision making for the

workforce.

2. No Central Database or information center is available which can be accessed readily to speed up the

decision making.

3. No Automatic system is available to track the Employee History from joining to exit the Organisation.

4. Major works in the sites are done manually or semi automatic software which is causing chances of

error, late data processing, and cannot be maintained uniformity, integrity.

5. Occurrence of Many repetitive nature of job, whether in Central Office or Project Sites. This is a

tedious task and make employees de motivated.

6. Top Management doesn’t have any system to Track & generate updated user defined reports by self.

7. Daily attendance Tracking is difficult.

8. Employees are more motivated by their confidence on management, and attractive benefits, and fair

management behavior which only can be possible by proper and timely grievance management &

response system, error free benefit calculation, correct data maintenance which needs systematic

process in the organization.

9. Manpower cost planning and analysis and budgeting is very difficult to manage.

10. Maintenance of Confidentiality in management’s information or decision, process of work is difficult.

11. No Management notification tools to capture the personnel events, project events like Birthday,

Marriage and due date of policy’s and different statutory license renewal, other programs.

12. Lack of proper tools to track and manage leave vacation, Leave eligibility, leave discipline, leave

planning.

Leave Practice in TEMPL

1. Earned Leave(EL): Applicable : All Employees categories & grades

Purpose : Employee leave benefit Calculation, Leave Payment Benefit. Calculation Cycle : Yearly / off cycle Calculation Method :

1. Actual Working Days – Day on which employee has worked excluding rest day, NH, RH, leave etc.

2. Employee EL Balance – Calculated EL accumulation during the last Calendar Year or before of service or balance

3. EL Availed - EL enjoyed during the Calendar year before the specified date on which employee wanted to avail the EL

4. Off cycle - on Superannuation, Resignation, Death, Retrenchment etc 5. Eligibility Criteria –

a). Employee must have worked minimum of 240 Days during the calendar year. b). If he joined after the first day of January must complete 2/3 rd of the total operation working days. c). IF working days is Less than 240 days, Authorized leaves (CL, SL, PL,EL, Maternity leave, Layoff), has to be added to calculate and make the eligibility for the EL.

6. EL Rules : a). Carry forward in case of balance but Employee can accumulate up to 30 days. b) Employees can avail EL maximum 3 times during the calendar year.

7. It can be carry forward to next year.

2. Casual Leave(CL): Applicable : All Employees categories & Grades

4. SL Rules :

Applicable : All Employees Categories & Grades Component : Last Leave Reporting date, Planed Leave (From & To)

Purpose : Employee leave benefit Calculation, Leave Payment Benefit. Calculation Cycle : Monthly/Off Cycle. Calculation Method : Based on Weekly Rest Day Worked by an employee.

Terminologies used

1. Actual Working days R&P = Working days on which employee worked at company between Last leave Reporting date & Planned Leave Date(Excluding CL, SL, NH).

2. Balance PL will be carry forwarded to next Year. 3. PL Rules: Eligibility :For the executive & above Leave payment shall be paid at the time of

availing the leave on which he has availed only. However, in case of Category below the executive level leave payment shall be attached to their monthly salary and paid to them and on availing the leave it will be shown as loss of pay.

6. National Holiday & days of lay off

In National Holiday 4 Nos of National Holidays are in practice in all the project sites 1) Jan 26 –Republic Day, 2) May-1-Labour Day, 3) Aug-15- Independence Day, 4) October 2- Gandhi Jayanti.

NH Rule:-

1. If an employee works in any National Holiday it will be added to the PL however for the worker

category it is not in practice as on the day is paid to them as Over Time.. 2. For availing the holiday employee has to work at least on its prefix day or suffix day or both. 3. If a NH day comes in between any Leave period then NH will be treated as Leave.

For any incidental expenses incurred on official tour proper justifications and approval from the

competent authority should be enclosed. Ticket booking will be arranged by the employees concerned.

However commission of travel agent will be paid by the company.

1. On official tour for local travel point to point Auto fare for category 1 to 3.

2. Taxi fare for category 4 will be allowed.

3. Chartered Taxi fare for category 5 will be allowed.

4. For home bound journey by air from Kolkata Airport or return Air journey via Kolkata if night stay

at Kolkata is essential a flat rate of Rs. 500/- as room rent for night stay will be allowed

All the House agreement shall be deemed to be cancel at the end of year and fresh agreement shall be prepared and renewed the procedure.
