After installing the Internet Pricing and Configurator, access the Internet Pricing andConfigurator by choosing the menu. The following services are available:
− lets you configure the database connection, and provides default
parameters and header attributes for documents created with the Internet Pricing andConfigurator.
− determines the source database on a R/3 system, the target databasewhere the IPC performs their operations, and the scope of data for download (seeThe Internet Pricing and Configurator’s Data Loader [Ext.]).
− is the actual application.
− activates the Internet Pricing and Configurator server.
To enable communication between the Internet Pricing and Configurator and your CRMsystem, you need to define the following RFC destinations in your CRM system:
SAPCRM_SPC_SVC RFC Service for the SPC module provider. Reads SCE master data inCRM, when showing and printing configuration data, for example.
SAPCRM_SPC_ITS Defines how to start the ITS/Servlet UI from CRM.
SAPCRM_SPC Dummy destination that contains information on how to connect theJava IPC server.
These RFC destinations are also described in the (file FAQ.htm in folder C:\Program Files\SAP\spc\doc). The section belowdescribes how to define an RFC destination for an explicit host. Service SAPCRM_SPC_SVCmay be started on an application server or a frontend workstation, rather than an explicit host.
