Empowering the Business to Make Better-Informed Decisions
Last year was our inaugural SAP Conference for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) event in Dallas, Texas. The event was
a tremendous success, bringing together SAP customers, prospects, partners, and subject-matter experts in an intimate forum
focused on technology’s impact on the value-adding finance function. This year we’re taking a closer look at how technologyinnovations are helping shape the finance function of the future and how finance teams can empower lines of business to make
better-informed decisions.
One thing we heard loud and clear at last year’s event was how much the audience appreciated hearing firsthand from SAP
customers about their best practice approaches in implementing SAP® solutions for EPM, as well as the benefits gained from their
use. As you will see in this year’s agenda, we have even more customer-driven sessions from leading organizations such as
Lexmark, T-Mobile, Mars Wrigley, Pacific Gas & Electric, Owens Corning, and Dolby.
And not only will we have an agenda jam-packed with customer speakers, but also we’ll have special guests on hand such as SAP’s
own Joel Bernstein, CFO, Global Customer Operations, and industry thought leader Gary Cokins. Joel will be participating in the
keynote on Day One, highlighting how SAP is using its own technology to help power the finance function and better support the
business. Gary will articulate best practices in making EPM work during one of the workshops and discuss analytics’ impact on
decision making in the keynote on Day Two.
From a technology perspective, content will cover how key technology trends such as mobile, Big Data/in-memory computing,
predictive analytics, and the Cloud are impacting the 21st-century finance function. We’ll highlight recent innovations and
announcements such as the SAP Simple Finance solution, the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1 application, version
for SAP NetWeaver® powered by SAP HANA®, and the SAP EPM Unwired mobile app, as well as give you a glimpse of what the
future holds for our EPM portfolio.
Whether you are a current user of SAP solutions for EPM or are considering using them to improve financial planning and analysis
or the financial close-to-disclose process, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago in October!
Sincerely,
David Williams
