NoteThis option works in conjunction with Store in Folder.
Store in Folder Sets a save location for the texture file
Use Existing Materials Performs a check for existing materials and potential material matches with the RH scene. If a material exists in the Max scene and there is a material match in the incoming RH scene, the material is not transferred. Only non-matching materials are imported. If unchecked, all materials from the RH scene are brought into the Max scene regardless of whether is a matching material.
Convert Instances to Unique Converts objects in the Max scene that are instanced, into unique, independent objects
Metadata Transfers metadata from the .rh file format to the Max scene
Activities
Importing .rh Files into Autodesk 3ds Max or Max Design:

Features
Fields and Checkboxes Functional Description
Apply Pivot Data to Nodes Performs a check as to whether the pivot point of the .max file is compatible with the .rh file format, If this is not the case, a new sub pivot point is generated for the object to be transferred into the .rh file format. This setting also controls the position of the pivot point. If unchecked, the position of the pivot point in Max is not transferred,
RecommendationWe recommend that this setting is checked for animation purposes.
Convert Patches to Mesh Converts patch mesh objects created in Max into polygonal mesh.
Convert NURBS to Mesh Converts NURBS surfaces created in Max into polygonal mesh
Use Skin Modifiers Transfers all skin, weights, and bones information linked with an animated skeleton to the .rh file format.
Animation Transfers all keyed animation on object(s) from the Max scene to the .rh format.
NoteThe settings Use Morph Modifiers, Sample Objects Animation, and Sample Vertex Animation are dependent on this setting.
Use Morph Modifiers Transfers morph modifiers applied to objects in the Max scene to the .rh file format
Sample Object Animations Samples each frame, and saves or "bakes" the object's position so that the animation is transferred across accurately to the .rh file format. If this setting is unchecked, animations between key frames are calculated with position and rotation calculation in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author. This produces a different result from the original Max file.
NoteThis setting works in conjunction with the setting Sample any animation every: [ ] frames.
14 P U B L I CSAP 3D Visual Enterprise, Third-Party Plug-Ins
Autodesk 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya
Fields and Checkboxes Functional Description
Sample Vertex Animation Keys or “bakes” the position of each vertex in an animated object so that animation at vertex level is transferred across to the .rh file format.
Sample Any Animation Every [number] Frame Determines the rate at which the vertex animation is sampled.
Create Materials for Wire Colors Exports all wire colors in the Max scene, and creates RH materials for each.
Convert Instances to Unique Converts objects in the Max scene that are instanced, into unique, independent objects.
Metadata Transfers metadata from the Max scene to the .rh file format
RH Binary Establishes the .rh specific settings:
● Compression: Compresses the .rh file size, making the file size smaller
● File Version: Sets the .rh file format version to which you wish to export. Available versions are 3.5 and 4.0.

5 3D PDF Template Designer plug-in for Adobe Acrobat
The 3D PDF Template Designer is a plug-in to Adobe Acrobat 3D v8, Acrobat Professional v8, v9, or Acrobat-X and XI. It enables the creation of PDF Templates from any non-restricted PDF file. The .pdf file format (Portable Document Format), developed by Adobe, represents documents in a manner that is independent of the original application software, hardware, and operating system used to create those documents. A .pdf file can describe documents containing any combination of text, graphics, and images in a device independent and resolution-independent format.
A number of VE controls are installed to Acrobat 3D or Acrobat Professional when you install the 3D PDF Template Designer plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. These controls are used to edit the PDF Templates delivered with the PDF Publishing Module, or to create custom PDF Templates. The PDF Templates are used to publish PDF documents via the PDF Publishing Module. You can edit VE controls in the same way as you edit normal Adobe Acrobat objects.
VE controls are specific to the particular 2D and 3D workflows in which they are located; you should use VE controls in their related templates to ensure that they function correctly. For example, if you use the Step Description Block control in the Simple_Animation_Template, the control may not function correctly in a document primarily made with other controls. VE controls are pre-programmed Acrobat controls that provide specific 2D and 3D functionality in a PDF.
VE controls are located on the Advanced Editing toolbar within Acrobat 3D and Acrobat Professional. These buttons, text fields, list boxes, dropdown lists, and radio buttons are based on different PDF workflows. For example, available VE controls that may be required for producing PDF documents relating to an Assembly/Disassembly Stepped procedure are located in the Steps drop down menu.
