Reflections
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity May 27 2018
You are very special to all of the Holy Trinity!
You are very special to God. You belong to God -- all of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The reason why it's so important to be baptized in the name of the full Holy Trinity, as Jesus instructs in this Sunday's Gospel reading, instead of only through Jesus our Savior as a few Protestant sects do, is because God in his fullness -- all three Persons of the triune nature of God -- wants to have a personal relationship with you, a true friendship.
Are you aware of living in a special love relationship with each Person of the Trinity? Can you sit and chat with God as Father, God as Savior, and God as Holy Spirit? When you're feeling hurt, can you sit in the Father's lap and receive his comfort? When you're fighting temptation, can you feel the strength of Jesus coming to your rescue?

Today’s Gospel MT 28:16—20
T he eleven disciples went to Galilee, o the
mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they all saw him, they worshiped, but
they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them,
"All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, until the end of the age."

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity May 27 2018
When you're worried or confused or struggling to have faith, are you aware of the Spirit's gentle guidance?
The Father of Jesus is our own, very special "Abba" (the childlike Jewish word for "Daddy" in the reading from Romans). Is he a fearsome punishing authority who barely understands you? No, he gladly adopted you during your baptism, because he's a doting daddy who provides for our needs.
The Holy Spirit assures us of this. God's Spirit embraces us and comforts us and teaches us everything we need to know so we can live in the joy of a life that's full of love. And in that love, Jesus sacrificed himself for us so that we can be free from the punishment of sin and live holy lives with the help of his Holy Spirit.
God is a trinity of helpers, healers, strengtheners, and faith-builders. He wants you to live in the fullness of his divinity! He wants you to benefit from all that he is.
As baptized Christians and as sacramental Catholics who have God's presence fully available in the Eucharist, we lack nothing that really matters!
Questions for Personal Reflection: Who is the easiest Person of the Trinity for you to feel close to? Why do you not feel as close to the other two? What will you do to remedy this? (Hint: ask the Holy Spirit to help you with it!)
Questions for Community Faith Sharing: How does the Holy Spirit help you know that Jesus is with you always, just as he promised he would be? And how does this help you understand the goodness of being adopted by God the Father? (In your answers, be careful not to refer to the Father as "God", because Jesus is also God and so is the Holy Spirit. To prevent confusion, say "the Father" or "Daddy" when talking about the Father.)

Algunas preguntas frecuentes sobre
la Campaña de Capital On the Way-
Los fondos donados a la Campaña On the Way- ;Ándale!,
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. Psalm

Some frequently asked questions
about the On the Way- ;Ándale!
Capital Campaign:
How are the parish targets set and how much is my parish going to receive?
The campaign target for each parish is established at 1.3
times its average offertory for the last three fiscal years.
Parishes with a three-year average offertory of $500,000 or
less will receive 40%; offertory between $500,000 and $1.3
million will receive 35%; and those with an offertory over $1.3
million will receive 30%.
If the parish does not reach their monetary target, is it responsible for the difference?
Parishes will not be assessed penalties if they do not reach
their fundraising target. The expectation is that parishes put
forth a good faith effort to follow the recommendations of the
archdiocese and the Steier Group in conducting the
campaign.
Will funds for the On the Way- ;Ándale! Capital Campaign reduce offertory support for the parish?

SACRAMENTALS (CCC 1677)
Sacramentals are sacred signs which resemble the sacraments which do not confer the grace of the Holy Spirit as the sacraments do.
Sacramentals prepare the faithful to receive the graces given in the sacraments.
Sacramentals derived from the baptismal priesthood.
Examples of sacramentals are blessings of persons, meals, objects, and places.
The blessings of abbots, abbesses, the consecration of virgins, the rite of religious profession, and the blessings of readers, acolytes and catechists, are examples of sacramental.
The blessing of a church or an altar, of holy oils, vessels, and vestments, as well as the blessing of bells, are an example of sacramental
