SANTA CRUZ, CA - June 1, 2004 (ForImmediate Release) With its player-drivendesign that has 13 frets clear of the body, plusspecial soundhole and bridge locations, SantaCruz Guitar Company’s H 13 Fret joins theSCGC H lineup with a sweet tone thatcapitalizes upon the best attributes of a 12-fret’sresonance and a 14-fret’s access. As a result, it’sideally suited to fingerpicking, coaxing thesonic character of each note while projectingan overall tonal depth.
Despite its small appearance, the H 13 Fretemploys a body depth approaching that of amuch larger dreadnought-sized guitar,producing extra volume and bass support tobolster its rich tone. Its comfortable size andcomplex tonal characteristics make it especiallyappealing to traditional players, soloists, andrecording artists who demand maximumwarmth and tonal versatility.
Features of the handcrafted H 13 Fret includea specially hand-tuned bracing system beneathits top-grade Sitka spruce top, a slotted head-stock for classic style and enhanced stringangle and sustain, and an ebony 1" x 6"pyramid rectangular bridge. The sides andback are select mahogany, and the mahoganyneck features an ebony fingerboard with atotal of 21 frets. An ebony headstock overlayand the wide ebony bridge with pyramid-styledetailing add to the classic appearance.
